Comet: Use; Shroom damage. (Q) can not successfully land the shot of comet due to not applying any form of slow unless you purchase Rylais. It's a pretty goood rune for URF Teemo. Since the Comet spams hard with shrooms late game. But in general it's a bad rune in comparison to Aery.

AERY: USE; Consistent poke an damage while focusing of CS. In terms of killing people it's a little lacking these days what with all the nerfs applied to it. But it's still one of the highest chosen runes for both beginner's and professional Teemo players due to the synergy he has with Aery, next to Grasp.

Have you considered running Arcane Comet on support Teemo? There is that one Korean Teemo support "onetrick" who exclusively runs it, I think.

I have never been open to Comet.

The reason people have always run Teemo with Comet is because they believe it to be the strongest rune period, for shrooms, It doesn't help that Riot defaults the rune to new players with the Sorcery Page. While having a ton of damage is great and all for Shrooms that's pretty much the only use for the rune is Shrooms and nothing else.

Because when we play Teemo in the early game level 1-5 we can't slow the enemy down to land a comet with (Q) like compared to a Camille, or champions who can actually slow or lock down early game.

Once Dark Harvest became a thing people just defaulted to that rune instead for Shroom damage.

Teemo support can work with it, but ultimately a rune like Electro would offer more for you in terms of the early - mid game.

The way I see it is that you actually gain a relatively strong-ish early game poke ability. Since Electrocute isn't the easiest to proc on a champion that has only one offensive spell, it really only sees play when you are going in on the enemy, or they are in range for an extended trade (in which case Press the Attack could become useful?). I think the Sorcery tree is pretty good for the 10 % CDR as well, which isn't by any means necessary, but it does increase your early game shrooming by a bit.

And this is specifically for Support Teemo. Comet would be pretty bad for top lane, especially when there is a better alternative in the same tree.

Just got Teemo from a chest... I've always found him adorable, so I decided to upgrade. The only thing is I had absolutely no idea how to play him until I found your guide. It's so in-depth and really helpful, even for someone who hardly ever goes to the toplane (like me). So thank you so much for taking the time and putting in the effort for this guide! It's much appreciated.

what lane u suggest for teemo top or supp?

I'd suggest JNG or MID currently, as top lane is often times a mess.
However, 85% of the community would say to go TOP lane, it's more of a personal preference.

I play against people who are competent enough to deal with me, even if I smurf, so JNG or other roles tend to be easier to win with, since Teemo doesn't really do anything TOP.

I honestly have 1 thing to say about this, wow.

The last time I checked this guide out it was pretty clunky at some parts when it came to the formatting (and the legacy style was used still), but now you’ve fixed most of those formatting issues and it really looks super clean now (really great job with the visuals like the banners).

My only issue is why there’s such a huge gap between the banners and the actual text sections such as here. I don’t know why those are really there since I think in my opinion it looks way better when sections are cramped up a bit more, but then again it is up to you to decide what you want. I just thought it was rather odd. Great guide though!

It's throughout the entire guide it's more or less me putting space to break each section up is all.

It's more of a preference thing, I like compact things but don't like a massive wall of text with no... breathers so to speak. It could be a little bit smaller of a gap, I agree. Will look into making some more changes on edit-day (Tuesday).

It was also used so the ToC would send you neatly into a compact section (not counting the longer sections) which would require no extra scrolling.

Bro this guide had me cracked up, whenever I played Teemo I went running towards my aery and hit someone twice with it and they died because of the little extra damage, amazing guide lol!

I may hate this furry little hamster, but this is a legendary guide. You don't find guides of this quality often. Well earned upvotes here. Hopefully the Teemos I face never read this guide so I can keep munching them with a crocodile.

1) Is Hail of Blades a viable rune and when would you use it?
2) Why do you always list PTA as a bad rune in most matchups on your spreadsheet?
3) Would you ever use Phase Rush outside of a matchup against Nasus?

Hail is great for quick trades, or melting certain bruisers / tanks.
Yorick is a great example, since it doesn't require you to extend into him long like PTA. It's a good ambushing rune with burst, allowing you to go above 2.50 for more quick trade damage than other runes. It's often preferred while playing Jungle, but it has it's uses in the laning phase for certain champions.

PTA is listed as BAD for the majority of champions, because of the fact that they have either a lot of CC or much better damage / poke where you normally wouldn't be able to get 3 auto attacks off quickly enough.

I don't take Phase Rush into anyone but Nasus. Logically Sett and Darius / Olaf could also be dealt with by taking Phase Rush, but I am not iPav. He is the only person doing it, and he is not having fun in most cases.

Do you ever rush zhonyas? Against asassin picks such as fizz, katarina, zed is it good as a 1st item? I went against a fizz top today, the lane was even until he hit like 8-9 lvl when he just one shot me lol. Is it good to build zhonyas > nashor > liandries against lanes like this? I neveer saw you build zhonyas first

Zhonya's Stopwatch can help with champions like that. Ideally with Zed even if he isn't your lane match-up. It will protect you and keep you alive if they focus on you. Fizz it's all about positioning. You'd be best off building some MR early on and if really needed a stopwatch. The item itself isn't going to protect you from his damage.

I never have a reason to build it first on streams unless I am going into a Riven, Wukong and that's just for the armguard, since it's normally the same boring match-ups for me on my main, Darius, Sett, Volibears and a few tanks.

If I do build Zhonya's straight out, I also buy Stopwatch since you can active both after the other for extra cheese and protection to get out of a bad situation.

It's normally better as a third or second item after boots. Since you lose out on a lot of damage for protection that often times can be avoided by side stepping.

What do you think about glacial augument on Teemo jungle?
1
[-]
Sovereign Kitten (22) | July 31, 2020 4:03am
I wouldn't take it, but it could work in some instances. But you'd lose out on all forms of damage for utility. Smite is your "glacial" with chilling smite per say.

What should I do if I get into a matchup with maokai? I was just in a game with an enemy maokai, and he just rushed visage/merc treads and I couldn't really do anything besides tower farm. Any tips?

Any champion like Maokai, Cho'Gath, Zac, that build into items like Spirit Visage or Adaptive Helm will be vulnerable to BOTRK. However, it's not your JOB to focus them. If you can't kill them, because they rush that kind of item, then focus on other things like helping your allies or just csing and staying alive.

Champions like Maokai are all about disruption. Getting on top of you and knocking you around and locking you down. Teemo can't deal with this. So it's better to just "respect" that and boringly farm or again build BOTRK.
