Introduction

Hello! Welcome to my Warwick Guide, which includes threats versus champions, masteries, runes, abilities promotion order, summoner spells (and why I chose them in further chapters), And items, now it is true that the items I specifically chose for Warwick won't make sense at first, but late game, I tried him myself, he's a beast ; It won't hurt to try, right?

If you do like this guide, give it a thumbs up!

And if you dislike this guide, give it a thumbs down! :D

I respect honesty more than anything, thank you for checking on my guide! :)

Who am I?

My name is Aviad and I am a Bronze II member of league of legends..

I know,Bronze; Disgusting...

Although, I am quite a fast learner and I was relatively positive of making this guide since I do know warwick's mechanics, etcetera,

I am 18 years old and before you ask, no, I'm not main Warwick; I've simply watched his rework and attributes and thought that making this guide might be a good idea..

Regardless, I am probably not the best information source you will want since there are gold players, or above, but I am really thankful for all those who this far checked on my guide, it means a lot more than you think... (Yes, all 9,000 of you).

And I hope I helped you all readers of understanding my build and it's counters.

Don't forget to vote, and thank you for reading my guide! :)

The reason I chose these runes

Both defensive and offensive has to be taken to consideration unless warwick will either be a squishy tank-killer, or a tanky no-damage jungler.

The reason I chose to use Flash and not Ghost

You can use Ghost as an additional movement speed but only if you are an expertise at locking on your ultimate at enemy champions, starting with a Flash will be more basic, but I truly recommend using Ghost for professional Warwick players :)

Creeping / Jungling

I usually start with Red, wolves, Blue, Scuttler (Only to regen my HP), heading to the Raptors and then the final one, the Krugs; if you're invading make sure to invade the red and then rush into your own red, depending on which jungler it is.

Talking to the developer

If you have any questions, ideas, tips, tricks, or something that is important in your opinion to mention, by all means, I check my discussion pad on a daily basis, do message me at the discussion messages and I will answer almost instantly! It might not be instant but however, I do guarantee you all an answer! :)

(P.S.) I will make a discord server and publish it at the link below :

If I get to a certain amount of 5 votes (Doesn't necessarily has to be thumbs up) with at least one of them being a thumbs up.
additionally, please remember that this is my very first time of making this build guide so I'm not as much explanatory as you'd expect, though I'm trying my hardest to please all my readers! :)

Pros / Cons

Warwick pros :

+ Warwick's lategame ultimate (with this build)'s leap can reach up to 1,500 units of leap, which is the gap of from your fountain to your inhibitor turret.

+ Warwick can always retreat out of a battle as the tanks are fighting, kill the rift scuttler, gain some HP back, and get back to the fight healthier, and hungrier than ever.

+ When you are attacking Baron and / or Drake, you can always use your W to check if enemies are anywhere close to you, and if they are, via the blood trail, you will know exactly where they are, REMEMBER that you also see stealth units; so then the enemy members won't be able to steal the objectives you're attempting to get (And since the W's cooldown is lower when it doesn't spot anyone by half, you'll be able to spam it a couple of times until the target is down ; Safe drake secure.

+ By using this build, not only that you can catch enemies off-guard by your immense leap range via ultimate, you will also be able to backdoor really well and maybe earning a free win ; and some mobility to avoid skillshots by using Q displacement and E to keep on going.

more pros coming soon..

Warwick cons :

- Warwick is very squishy when fighting tanky champs on his own. (Late game)

- Using your ult to escape enemy grasp will just make them more eager to catch you, so make sure to use it when escape is 100% definite.

- By using this build, warwick can never start a fight or engage at enemies by himself, even though you have a lot of movement speed and you can catch up to almost everyone ; you're still not building the usual "attack damage-full" build, so I'd suggest waiting for your teammates to start and then hit the backline with some combos.

- When a target has under 50% health (Globally), your passive W targets him, but do not forget that they have a mark atop of their champion, so they will know that you hunt them if the hunt is marked by passive, and will probably play more defensively, and will most likely wait for your arrival, what I can suggest you is to not attack anyone who is under 50% HP and is under your hunt effect, because it might be a bait / ambush planned up for you.

More cons coming soon..

Team Work

When it comes to a beast like warwick, he have became a solo duelist, just like Rengar, but it doesn't necessarily mean he has to go solo, using your E to fear the enemies will give your allies a few good hits off them, and so does Infinite Duress suppresses their position.

Benefits / attributes of the build

Here I will explain why I chose to put this build as my recommended.
Part 1: Stealth's Blade: Cinderhulk
I chose this item as my jungling item while playing warwick since it deals true damage and grants additional lifesteal to what he already has, which, if you remember, one of Warwick's pros, which he can get out of a battle, farm and get his health back in no time; I do understand that its not really benefitting while being in a battle but at least you will be able to reach the backline without an overextending focus from enemy players.

Part 2: Youmuu's Ghostblade
The reason I've chose this item is because while Blood scent is active, your ultimate is measuring your movement speed, and the more movement speed you have, your leap is greater, not only that its an insane gap closer, you can also catch a recalling enemy on low health with just your ult and combo ; all the more reasons to build movement speed on warwick's new mechanics.

Part 3: Righteous Glory
The same reason for Youmuu's Ghostblade ; more movement speed towards enemies, though I would recommend unleashing it when you don't have enough movement speed to catch, since the cooldown is greater than Youmuu's.

Part 4: Trinity Force
As for movement speed, dealing damage is required as well, Trinity Force might not be the best item since it also scales your attack speed, which scales by HP rate of the enemies, If you dislike that item I'd suggest buying "The Black Cleaver" or "Titanic Hydra", both are good if you're to not buy Trinity Force.

Part 5: Dead Man's Plate
This item is optional, it increases both movement speed and on-hit bonus damage, I find this item very important for Warwick, since it does 2 benefits : 1) Your ult has more range, and 2) After the ult is complete, your next basic attack does more damage, and slows them for an amount of time. It is still optional however.

Part 6: Boots of Swiftness

Boots of Swiftness allow you to move faster early game, and it's role at the game is to make warwick's ultimate have more range in the EARLY game, you can rid of it and / or buy a mobility boots instead, I would recommend them since then you won't have to stand relatively near them in order to ult them, you will be able to land an ultimate from far away as for it ; and the most fun thing of it : They will never expect it, unless you're repeating the same trick a couple of times.

Thank you for taking your time reading this, Happy hunting, and Good luck!

Unique skills

Warwick's passive : Eternal Hunger.

Warwick's passive is as clear as that : You do damage, you are healed for it ; though, instead of making it the obvious, allow me to elaborate :

Warwick's passive can be abused properly in the most crucial times of encountering enemies, for instance : A jungle invade ; you simply use your basic attacks to heal and your Q to gain back health points from a critical hit damage.

Some of the times that technique might not go as planned, so it'd be the best answer to retreat, and lunge into enemy minions in order to regenerate HP from them while escaping, in order to depress the chasers, by showing them how much health you've gained within a few seconds.

Warwick's Q : Jaws of the Beast

Warwick will simply bite an enemy, dealing physical damage

Warwick's Hold + Q : Jaws of the Beast

Warwick will bite and lunge behind the enemy after biting.

Description : Q : This ability is being affected by your passive as well, so you are gaining HP while your foes are losing HP, you can use it when both you and the enemy have low health in order to have more health than them at the time, and hit the few last hits while your W passive is up.

Description : Hold + Q : When it comes to enemies like Volibear, Poppy, which have high displacement abilities, the Hold + Q's advantage is that you won't be pushed off too much, you will have your time to retaliate ever since you avoided and / or got back to your past location after their displacement abilities have been used.

Warwick's W : Blood Hunt

Warwick will hunt every target he finds within his area, rendered by the upfront map, regardless of their health, and has bonus movement speed if he is chasing the blood trail.

Warwick's passive W : Warwick will detect ANY champions that are under 50% health rate, and these specific champs will have a mark above their champion, showing that they're being hunted.

Warwick's E : Primal Howl

Warwick will gain a temporary shield which he can hold further as the game continues, and when the shield is out, and / or Warwick have unleashed his shield, he howls a scary howl which affects all nearby champions / minions / monsters (Not baron / drakes affected) nearby him, with the AoE (Area of Effect) being set around him while it is being charged and / or used.

Warwick's R : Infinite Duress

Warwick lunges at a certain position which he locks onto.

If Warwick locks an enemy the enemy will be suppressed (Excluding enemy minions) for a few seconds, and will take damage while Warwick's passive gathers all the damage he dealt back to him (Yes, by 100% life steal).

Warwick's R unique : Infinite Duress

Warwick measures all the movement speed he has whilst chasing an enemy by blood scent passive / active, and the more movement speed he has, the greater his leap is ; You can call it a "Leap of Faith" though the only thing that leap brings is Pain... calling it "Leap of Pain" matches it more.

Here's a video made by Brofresco based around the build I have made (Somewhat) : Unique skills, Warwick's W : Ever since it's been told, Warwick's passive targets enemies globally, you don't necessarily have to engage on them, since they won't play and push as hard (At least for the next 30 seconds) of the fear of being ganked by you, so it can be used for your advantage, and strike when the time is right (When they realize you're not coming and will return to their cs-hunt / pokes & bursts).

Unique skills, Warwick's passive : Warwick gathers plenty of life steal from this kit, and since he has both Attack speed, Movement speed, and life steal, not only that he can't die, he attacks faster, regenerates faster, and chases fleeing enemies faster! ; Without the passive Warwick wouldn't be as genocidal as he is now, abuse it the most on minions because enemies most likely buy armor against you, minions will take full damage and so you will regain most health rather than biting and getting 50% of HP you would've got from a Rammus with full armor.

Unique skills, Warwick's E : Can be used on both fleeing from enemies (Decreases damage from ranged), and on chasing enemies (slowing them down, and not letting them control their movement at that time) ; plus, the "Fear" effect set after to avoid melee champions to chase you more often.

Unique skills, Warwick's R : You can use your ultimate to flee, catch, and even trespass long terrains, also has a good backdoor potential.

Unique skills, Warwick's Q (and Hold + Q) : You follow up on flashes, blinks, or abrupt mobility ability while using Hold + Q, for instance : Ekko's E can follow up to flashes if he's at the range of the enemy and the enemy flashed just as when ekko have striked his E. Following up on the Flash summoner spell, and for example : Ezreal's E.

Summary

As for summing up this build guide ; I am aware that this is probably the weirdest build guide and not the strongest kit to it as well; mostly due to the emphasis and focus on Movement Speed ; I did try this build on custom games many times though couldn't take any clips from my recordings due to download failure ; so I can't post any videos on this site, however, you are more than able to check it by yourself! via Custom game, of course.

I appreciate your support and vote (If you did vote) on this guide.

Good luck & Have fun, Summoners.
