Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello, and firstly I'd like to thank you for reading my guide for Twitch. Twitch has been my main champion for some time now, and I love to experiment with him. I thought it'd be beneficial to share my build with the MobaFire community.
Summoner spells are almost always personal preference. Now let me explain why. I honestly use flash with ALMOST every champion, with very few exceptions. Flash can used to escape, OR to make a kill that wouldn't happen otherwise, happen. As a second spell, I choose to use ignite for the extra DPS, and for last hitting purposes. Exhaust could also be a nice choice, but I'm not a very big fan of exhaust because of Twitch's slow is most of the time good enough, but the blind is 'favorable' to some people over ignite. If you're going to use exhaust then you might consider dropping the 1 point in 'Archmage's Savvy' and putting it into 'Cripple'.
The mastery tree build I choose to use is 21/9/0 as seen above. The 9 points in defense are pretty standard for DPS carries. However, the offensive points I use can, and should be changed if you're going to play more of an AS build. For example: If going an AS build, one might choose to go 4/4 'Alacrity' and 3/4 'Sorcery' and completely dropping 'Archaic Knowledge' to further increase that AS.
Item Build EXPLANATION (Crit)
Berserkers Greaves are the best choice for boots, but IF you are playing a team that has a lot of CC abilities you might want to chose Mercury Treads.
Avarice Blade is used for early bonus of critical %. Can also be used for a Youmuu's.
Executioner's Calling is GODLY. The critical % is ridiculous. The lifesteal is golden, and the poison synergizes with Twitch's passive. The active is just a little bonus, even without the active the item is still worth the money.
Zeal is next. Attack speed, critical %, and Movespeed. ALL TWITCH NEEDS IN ONE! Overall a fantastic item. Can be used to make a Phantom Dancer later in the game if you're doing well.
Infinity Edge is the last item I listed, but is defintely not the last item. Infinity edge is Twitch's pride and join. The critical bonus damage really gives you an edge in team fights, allowing you to get PENTAKills!
As stated above, you continue building items after Infinity Edge. Deciding what items to build is up to you, and your enemies. If you're dying a lot, or too fast get Frozen Mallet. If you're getting aimed in team fights by the melee DPS or tank then get Sunfire Cloak. If you're having a hard time killing tanks, you may want to look into Madred's Bloodrazor.
How to Play
1-6: Early game you want to last hit as many creeps as you can, but not getting too agressive. You always want to try and get first blood. Twitch is a great harasser, be careful to always have mana for that LAST expunge that will get you a kill! Most importantly don't die.
6-11: Gank, gank, gank, and gank. This is the phase where you have a huge advantage. Get as many kills as possible. Leave your lane and roam.
11-18: This is the end of the game. Mostly team fights, and pushing. Twitch + Baron's buff = Easy PENTAKills. Position, and timing are key. Don't wander off alone, but don't be afraid to get in there for kills.
If you're like me and get bored of the same ol' build every game, then maybe you consider an AS build. I've been messing around with a new build lately. I haven't QUITE figured out the order of importance, but I'm sure you all are smart enough to make your own choices. Madred's Bloodrazor (always Recurve Bow first), Stark's Fervor, Last Whisper/Wit's End depending on the enemy team, The Bloodthirster (crazy **** the overheal is RIDICULOUS), The Black Cleaver if they have annoying tanks, after that the items you build next all depends on the enemy team life stated above.
