Champion Build Guide
Item description on the notes tab above
Early Game (Levels 1-6):
Nilah’s early game can feel a bit weak compared to some other ADCs, but she can thrive if played well.
Farm and Positioning:
Focus on last-hitting as best as you can in the early levels. Nilah's AA's and Q -
allow you to poke and farm at the same time, especially with her AOE damageUse your
W wisely:
Early on your W -
can help you dodge enemy skillshots, AA's or peel yourself when an enemy tries to all-in you. Don't be afraid to use it to shield some early poke damage. W -
also cleanses CC (like
Naut passive ), so it's important to keep it up for potential crowd control in laning phasePoke with Q and AA's:
When the enemy goes in for a trade, you can use Q -
to poke from range and follow up with an AA, especially if you are paired with a support who can set up for you. Use the passive healing to from your abilities to sustain through trades.Play safe if needed:
Nilah has limited mobility early on and lacks range, so be careful of getting engaged on by strong early game champs or poked by range champs. If you are agaisnt heavy CC matchups likeKey Tips for Early Game:
Don't overextend in lane without vision; Nilah lacks mobility until later.
Use W -
to avoid enemy poke and trades when possible.Push for a level 6 power spike so you can utilize your R -
for burst damage and healing.Mid Game (Levels 6-11):
This is where Nilah starts to become a more effective champion, especially with her R and increased mobility.
Roaming and Objectives:
If you're ahead or if your bot lane is stable, start helping your team with objectives like Dragon or Rift Herald. Nilah excels in skirmishes because of her healing and AoE damage, so look for opportunities to engage with your R -
and follow up with your team.Skill combo usage:
Use your E -
to dash around and get in range for your Q. Make sure to weave in auto-attacks during your abilities to maximize damage output. Your W will also shield you while you’re engaging, helping you survive through enemy bursts.Positioning and map awareness:
Be mindful of mid-lane and jungle rotations. Nilah can use her W to avoid key CC abilities, making her a great tool for baiting enemies into overcommitting. Use your E aggressively to escape or initiate, depending on the situation.Key Tips for Mid Game:
Aim for skirmishes around objectives where you can use R -
effectively.Focus on getting your 1st item and starting your second core item around this time.
W -
is key to avoiding crowd control, so use it at the right time to engage or disengage.Late Game (Levels 11-18):
By the late game, Nilah becomes a monster in teamfights, thanks to her scaling damage, healing, and R -
.
Teamfights and Positioning:
In the late game, Nilah’s damage output becomes huge. Your job is to weave in auto-attacks and use Q -
to poke from a distance. W -
is crucial for avoiding key crowd control from enemies, so position yourself well to avoid being locked down by the enemy team.Focus on targets:
R -
deals massive AoE damage, especially if you can catch multiple enemies clustered together. Use it at the right time to wipe out squishier targets or disrupt the enemy backline. Don't forget that Nilah's passive healing means that when you deal damage, you can sustain yourself in fights — use that to your advantage!Engage and peel:
With your E -
, you can jump onto enemies and start dealing damage quickly, but make sure your team is ready to follow up. You’re a fragile champion, so be careful not to dive too deep without protection. If you're playing with tanks or bruisers, you’ll want to let them initiate and follow up with your AoE R -
Key Tips for Late Game:
R -
can turn teamfights around — use it to engage when enemies are grouped.Position yourself behind your frontline to avoid being focused down.
Maximize your auto-attacks and Q usage, but use W to keep yourself safe from enemy CC and burst.
Teamfights:
Before the Fight:
Stay in the backline or with your tanks. Let the enemy commit to an engage first, and look for openings where you can jump in with E and follow up with Q and auto-attacks. Use W to block any CC or poke that might come your way.During the Fight:
Use R -
at the right moment to maximize AoE damage. Ideally, use it when enemies are grouped or after they’ve used their key abilities. E should be used to either engage on the enemy backline or reposition for a better angle. Don’t hesitate to use W to block crucial crowd control if you’re targeted. After the Fight:
Once you’ve used your R, focus on peeling and healing your team. Use your auto-attacks and Q to deal sustained damage, while your W should be ready to mitigate any follow-up CC.Nilah’s Power Spikes:
Level 6:
Getting R -
unlocks Nilah’s burst potential and her ability to sustain in fights.
