Intro

Most champs had an easy transfer into Dominion. I wasn't sure that Veigar would make the transfer. Dominion is a fast paced game that a different game every time you play. I made this guide because I couldn't find one Viegar Dominion guide. Also to share the build I've been having so much success with. The worst I've done was 9 kills and 3 deaths. Not bad at all (to me). Since Dominion is a shorter game, this is a shorter guide. So there shouldn't be any TL;DR :)

Veigar: The Tiny Master of Evil

To most, thoughts of yordles do not conjure images to be feared. The easygoing half-pint race, though fierce, is often regarded with some degree of joviality. Their high-pitched voices and naturally cute forms inspire something of a protective instinct in the larger races, or at least bring to mind images of children playing at being adults. Every now and again, however, a yordle turns so bad that, even at its small stature, it strikes terror into the hearts of others. Veigar is such a twisted yordle. As a master of the magical black arts, as well as a corrupter of cosmic energy, he is one of the most powerful sorcerers on Valoran.

As a child, Veigar was a normal yordle with one small exception - he had a deep curiosity for the world beyond Bandle City. The young yordle spent much of his time studying the rest of Valoran, and he jumped at the chance to join a business that traded with other major city-states. Unfortunately for both him and the world, a deal with Noxian traders turned into shady business and went bad; Veigar and his companions were subsequently set up to take the fall. Arrested by the authorities, he was imprisoned within the walls of Noxus for years. Such isolation is very dangerous for yordles - undoubtedly why his cruel jailers did such a thing - and Veigar was slowly driven mad. He eventually escaped, having become a twisted version of his former self. Instead of returning to his people and Bandle City, he sought tutelage from dark wizards across the land. With his demented will focused on one task, he quickly became a dangerous and powerful wizard in his own right. Now he seeks to end all conflict on Valoran by bringing all of the city-states to their knees, regardless of their affiliation. The League of Legends is the perfect tool to help him meet his ends - for now.

"Who says evil needs to come in a fearsome-looking package?" - Veigar

Runes/Masteries

Basic mage runes and masteries. I will update this section once I get a good hold of the Dominion gameplay.

9 Greater Mark of Insight
9 Greater Seal of Force
9 Greater Glyph of Focus
3 Greater Quintessence of Potency

As far as masteries go, 9 0 21 is my build.

Items

Right off the bat I start with Sorcerer's Shoes These help me take whatever turret I decide right away. (I recommend the windmill, the stun helps tremendously the initial teamfight for the it).

Next I work on the Deathcap 155 AP plus a 33% boost in AP. Whats not to love? After the teamfights and a few tower captures you should have enough gold to grab a Needlessly Large Rod and finish off the build soon after.

Soon teams will start buying item's to prevent you're nuking abilities, I try to counter this the best I can with the Void Staff . 40 Magic Pen plus your shoes and your runes should provide you with enough penetration to still do damage.

Next I buy Rylai's Scepter Mostly to increase survivability. Also it adds a slow to your Q. That makes it so you don't have to rely on your W so hard.

After you get these main Items I buy game specific items. Usually just straight AP. Veigar is a pretty basic camp when it comes to builds.

I've seen some people play Veigar with a WOTA This could be a great idea for bottom lane. It would help with sustain so you wouldn't have to fight for the health pack as much. If you feel like getting it, by all means, do so.

Skills

Q

Cost: 75 mana
Magic Damage: 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260 (+0.6 per ability power)
LEVEL THIS FIRST! Though it may not be your heaviest hitting ability. Its a major last hitter in Dominion. In standard play this is a good ability to farm because of its passive. In Dominion you have virtually no time to farm. Instead farm your enemies.

W

Cost: 100 / 110 / 120 / 130 / 140 Mana
Magic Damage: 120 / 170 / 220 / 270 / 320 (+1.0 per ability power) Great when used in combination with your E. Does massive damage with a high AP ratio. Level this second.

E

Cost: 80 / 95 / 110 / 125 / 140 Mana
Stun Duration: 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 seconds
My favorite AOE in the game. A great skill to have in a team fight. You can isolate one easily, or stun everybody to start a teamfight. Though I wouldn't recommend initiating many teamfights. Veigar is way too squishy.

R

Cost: 150 / 200 / 250 Mana
Magic Damage: 250 / 375 / 500 (+1.2 per ability power) (+80% of the target's ability power)
NUKE! The reason the enemy mage stops getting AP mid game. Primordial burst tears apart mages (and most other champs too). The best combo for Nuking an Opponent is this E then W then Q then R "An enemy has been slain..."

Summoner Spells

Good Choices:

Great for helping sustain early bottom lane. Also good at helping at the capture point. Used wisely it can turn a fight

Easy for escape or surprise attack. I always take Flash when I play squishy characters. Also a good flash in is great for catching an enemy off guard.

Makes navigating the map easier.

Great for getting that sneaky running away guy.

Bad Choices

Most other abilities. Comment if you've got good use for others. I will take all comments into consideration.

Champions to Avoid

Sion will stun you then tear you up
Galio is a great Magic Resistance tank.
Too much damage for one Yordle
Incoming tornado
Big bad dog with a hella good slow

Watch out for any other Veigar or high burst champs too. A good Akali will make you cry too.

Summary

Veigar is a great mage. He nukes most champions hard. Like every other champ our little yordle is has his flaws, mostly in the armor, health, and magic resist catagories. All in all he can be a game changer. Remember to use his stun at the correct times.

Remember to play hard, don't QQ over every death, and stop calling other people noobs. Its just annoying.

If you do well using this guide or just use Veigar Send me a snap shot of how you did and I will post it under the summary. Thanks for reading!
