Introduction

Hello this is my 2nd guide and I've decided to make it because I had a game changer with him today. Vlad actually has a really strong laning phase against melee units. I managed to win top by completely zoning the enemy khaziks. Once you hit 7 you can win basically any trade if you play smartly. In teamfights your W can help your team to gain a movement advantage and can help you to reposition yourself which won us the 1st teamfight.

Runes

Vlad is ranged so he shouldnt have to worry about armor and stuff, his ap and health give him a big damage advantage and make him a harder laning opponent overall.

Masteries

For Vlad you can run lots of masteries, from the standard 21-9-0 to 15-15-0 to a 0-30-0, his playstyle can vary a lot.

Spells

Since nobody really needs pics of the summoner spells I'll just use words.
Flash : good on any champ ,a must have
Heal: Good on Vlad, stacks with Spirit visage and can win teamfights
Ghost: Increase your speed when using W to chase down opponents
Clarity: Vlad has no mana WTF?
Teleport: Unless you're planning to tele to wards a lot you dont need it because you have so much sustain.
Exhaust: Very good combat spell, wont say its special with vlad though
Barrier: Um no wtf?
Cleanse: A spell to think about depending on your opponent (e.g. chogath)
Clarity: No thankyou

Pros / Cons

Best getaway Restricted to several items because he has no mana
Lots of sustain No CC apart from slows
Natural tankiness
Naturally high dmg
AOE

Farming

Trade excessively with your opponent but do not push very hard, if he backs off you can Q minions to regen yourself. If you want to push hard you can spam E and then W to clear waves quickly (aoe)

Team Work

When you play Vlad you are tanky so you are expected to be at the front, because you are normally scary and people realise how important you are in teamfights they will try to focus you but you can W and waste their ults and catch up to slow them so that your team can assist.
