In my opinion a iceborne gaunlet is also pretty stong instead of a trinity, i tryed both and think the slow with the IG is pretty strong and you get additional armor. That makes IG a viable alternative vs heavy ad teams. Also both items together are pretty strong if you are extremely ahead of the enemies. ;)

You're right, it is very good on Skarner, specially if you aren't ahead but still want to deal good damage, since IG is not as expensive as Trinity. But you're gonna be still quite squishy if you go for Spirit of the Elder Lizard first and that's what I personally dislike about it and rather go full damage with Trinity.
I wouldn't ever recommened to buy both, because Spellblade is a Unique passive, even if you are far ahead it's kind of a waste of Gold.

I really liked the guide man. Thanks. I also wanted tro know what you think about the Bloodthirster on him. I tried it. It sorts out pretty well. Anyways hope you keep this guide updated. Thanks again. ;D

I don't quite know, but I'd prefer Ravenous Hydra if you really want some Lifesteal, whats not needed at all in my opinion. Trinity Force is way enough damage for you and adding even more would make you too squishy for teamfights. Even with Trinity Force you are already pretty squishy untill you get 2 major tank items.

So I would not recommend it.

And thanks for that comment, appreciate it.

Hey DragHyphen, this is a great guide and by far the optimal way to build skarner at the current patch. Skarner now has ridiculous dueling power and a range slow that can catch enemies after they flash. Just want to add that the classic 3 MS 9AS may in many situations be useful when catching slippery targets such as Leblanc and makes up for the lost base MS of Mobos. Also 5 CDR blues could be used to cap off that 5% from masteries! Overall, thanks for taking the time to show people how Skarner should be played, and RESPECTED.

Thanks for your feedback. I'm gonna try out these runes, but it's gonna take a while, because I don't have all of them yet.
