Xin Zhao Build
Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Whatsup public. This is my build for Xin Zhao greatness.
I rock 25/0/5. Stick mostly to physical attack buffs to maximize damage in any way.
The nice thing about this build is that it allows Xin to heal without needing to return to base or use a potion. Its more aggressive. You wanna jump in and unleash as much damage as possible because people are going to want to kill you.
I chose Ghost and Exhaust as my summoner spells. Xin Zhao has no escape so its nice to have the speedy getaway or if a teammate needs help and you have to get to him asap. Exhaust is always good for slowing runners and blinding melee dps champions.
When I first had begun playing Xin I had always got Three-talon as my starting skill. However, I realized that Audacious Charge Was better for early 3v3 gank. So if you play 3v3 and like to gank bot, Audacious Charge is usually the way to go. Then get three-talon strike and you can charge in and slow them down to give time for your teammates to run in. Battle Cry becomes more necessary mid-game because of the attack speed bonus and the reduction of cooldown active bonus. After getting level 6, you should get Crescent Sweep no doubt. When charging into a fight, you should execute Crescent Sweep pretty early to maximize on damage reduction and magic resistance.
I always start with a Vampiric Scepter. Dorans blade is ok, but it becomes obsolete early in the game. The Vampiric Scepter gives you the life steal to stay in the lane without having to go heal. Just attack some minions and get you life back. Also it builds into Malady which you want. Next I go for basic boots. I always go for basic boots as my second item no matter what champion Im playing. Get Malady before getting Berserker's Greaves. Its better to have that extra life steal and fast attack speed then movement. After getting Malady, then get Berserker's Greaves. At this point, Your attack speed should be pretty great. All the bonuses from items plus Battle Cry should give you enough attack speed that you can now focus on damage n such. I Get Frozen Mallet next because two of the main problems are people kill you immediately in a 3v3 or someone gets away. Frozen Mallet gives you extra life, damage, and it slows. Now my focus is all damage. I go for Infinite Edge next. To be honest though, usually the game doesn't last long enough for me to get it entirely. The last few items are just in case you get caught in one of those dreadfully long matches where heimerdinger is playing tower defense at base.
With this build you want attack speed, then damage. I have won several games using this build. Just be warned, people are going to try to kill you first quite often. This build also makes Xin great for foresting, but I usually just get the buffs from time to time. Charge in, unload damage, kill them before they kill you.
Hope Everyone finds this build useful. Goodluck to all of you post-nerf Xins out there.
