Hello everyone nice enough to read this. My name is Ryan and i will be your guide to your first day as Yi or lol in general. my job is to teach you the basics of Yi yes thats right the basics there will be no amazing strategics for 100% win rate there will also be no trolling about how i wright this build please keep in mind this is for someones first few games as Yi not experts.

Now on with the not so boring

The pros of Yi
+ great starter champ
+ cheap price if you like him
+ good distance closer
+ Great passive
+ avoiding slows is so much fun

The cons of Yi
- if not farmed can be terrible
- can still be stunned
- not exactly the hardest to kill

Now this is a touchy zone
The masteries i take here are for all rounded ness
if you want to go full attack im not stooping you same with the other trees this is just how i like my Yi
the 22 0 8 is basically just to pick up the faster leveling and the damage not much to say here except
change what you don't like!

Again a touchy spot
When i play yi i like to go for attack speed (obviosly). Yi's basic damage is enough that you do not need to buy attack damage early game and although i buy them late game they are not entirely necessary. Sometimes i will buy the mentioned black cleaver and blood thirster and sometimes i will buy magic resist or Armour.

The above items are my usual items when i am playing a good game when i play badly (as we all do) i like to buy armour before my starks fervor

Also after playing games as Yi you will begin to see that he is not a straight forward champion after my first month of playing i found out about AP Yi and i played him for the next 3 months because i done well. But i then remembered my old build and when going back to it saw a massive increase in the fun i had


When editing the items my first tip would be keep the boots first weather you are going hybrid yi attack damage yi ability power yi or maybe even some weird yi that involves only ever meditating at spawn while screaming in chat you are waiting to find your inner peace first it is always a good idea for boots first!

not alot to say
when playing Yi i play risky so i might die alot and need to teleport back in to my lane or maybe i might jsut get bored and teleport in on friendly minions who are attacking a turret i love teleport just as much

ah flash what a lovely spell this spell will get you in and out of trouble at ease and is as much a life savor as it is a final leap to nail that brand that has not left you alone all game

IS VITAL

team work is as much a ***** as it is your best friend
if your team is smart they will work together if not you will need to fend for yourself

good team scenario

your job in a good team is as follows
level 1-6 attack minions and try not to get hit to much by enemy champs
level 6- 10 attack the minions but when your oponent gets to far away tell your lane partner you are going to attack and then alpha strike in! if your opponent stays and fights activate both highlander and wuju syle giving you bonus everything to get the kill (not guaranteed)
level 10-18 just basically at this point you kill minions and at every chance help out the other lanes because of highlander being a great chaser move you can walk down to mid and then once in the bushes activate highlander and chase your target down with ease!

bad team scenario

level 1- 6 kill all the minions dont bother about enemy's at all because if your team is int going to help you will just get killed
level 6- 12 wait for openings in lanes if you need to port to an empty lane because as Yi you can destroy ungarded turrets in seconds with Wuju and highlander on
level 12 -18 push PUSH like you have never pushed before if a turret is getting destroyed switch away from your lane and help it then after the turret is safe you work your minions up the line with ease thanks to Alpha strike

This was my first guide here on Moba fire please feel free for criticism and dont hold back i need to know also please dont troll because i dont Hybrid Yi or mention jungle yi because this guide is designed for newbies and not only is learning a new champ hard enough but sometimes (i think expecially with Yi) hybrid and jungle can be extremely confusing
