I think its not that great
you should definitely skill Q instead of W on lvl 2 cause it doesnt double the dmg and the energy gained is not as high as the energy lost
Furthermore I think Lizard Elder is a better pick for him as it has CDR and Attackdamage + a pretty badass passive that helps clearing camps fast
And I dont like Hydra that much cause Zed was not designed as an autoattack champ so I would replace it with a BC
The rest is pretty fine nice In Depth look at the Chamiopn and stuff
But I would really appreciate if you could take a look at the points I mentioned

This is the only reason why this build should be frowned upon. IMO, Q should be maxed by 9.
Other then this, the general build itself is perfect for destroying your lane, and this build shouldn't be downvoted(only a little bit of modifications are necessary to meet our needs).

As for this, yes you do tons of damage. The ADC gets annihilated within 3-5 hits if you managed to get a lot of farm.
Guides like these are why mobafire has a bad reputation.

Honestly your skill order is very bad. You should always be maxing E, as its DPS and burst output is higher unless you can hit 2-3 ninja stars, which is unreliable even for good players. A rule of thumb is to always max one skill by 9, then 13, 16 and 18. never at 12, 13, 16 and 18. Its just plain stupid.
The vast majority of Zed players will max E then W, but in the new patch it might be better to max E then W, but E maxing is always the best.
I very much dislike MoBAfire because anyone can make guides, and are often made by low Elo players. Only a few select champions should not max skills by 9, 13, 16 and 18 (Mundo the only one that comes to mind), its just better.
Last but not least, boots 3 is a very bad start now. ADCs start longsword pots,/dorans, supports wards and pots, jungles machete 5, mid and top can start cloth 5, 9 pots 2 wards, 11 pots 1 ward, or 13 pots, flask, 3, flask 1 and ward, longsword 2, red elixir 4 and ward, and red elixir 6 pots. Boots 3 has fallen out of favor because of S3 changes, you dont need them to avoid ganks/avoid skillshots anymore, because of how S3 changed it.

To be honest with you, I am not a hardcore league player, no offence. I tend to play blind and draft most of the time, I'm not a fan of ranked. Please don't jump onto my guide and bagging on me. I may not be a "Gold III" player, but I know for a fact I can damn well play Zed. Thanks for the feedback, nonetheless, but with all due respect, hopefully I won't be running into you on the Fields of Justice.
This build rapes. Hard. Although instead of Infinity Edge I take Ravenous Hydra. Nevertheless, this build will facerape every squishy. My first game as Zed and I went 6-1. I destroyed my mid lane.
IMO, max Q all the way. It's what helped me annihilate mid. Also, the points you put into defense seem pretty weird. Switch those up to something more appropriate in laning.
