After quitting League of Legends for a long period of time I felt like coming back. Akali was the champion that brought me back. She was fun to play with. After playing with many builds and seeing that she could dish out so much damage there was always one problem, you can't kill people while your dead. After getting a few kills even if i would enter the fight late the enemy team would learn to target me. This build was made in an attempt to be able to dish out damage, but be able to take getting focused for a limited time.

Pros:
- Great Fun
- One of the best chasers
- Good escape (Shroud + flash)
- Amazing damage

Cons:
- Squishy unless willing to sacrifice a bit of damage
- After some kills expect to get targeted
- Oracle/vision wards/AOE skills counter Shroud

I chose to do a 9/21/0 build. In Offense I went down until Archiac Knowledge for the 15% magic pen. 21 Defense for increased survivability since you are squishy and being dead wont help your damage output.

I choose to get 3x Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage and 3x Greater Mark of Attack Damage to activate her physical damage passive. This allows you to get an Amplifying Tome at start and activate the magic passive also.

6x Greater Mark of Magic Penetration : Increased Magic pen

9x Greater Seal of Evasion : More dodge and helps with nimbleness mastery.

9x Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction : Allows you to use her spells even more, which is always a good thing.

: This skill is good for two main reasons. The first is that it can help you get those kills where they are about to run away with no hp or you need to run away and they have hardly any hp left. The other is it reduces healing by 50% which will help against healers.

: Personally I prefer it because it will allow you to go over walls to escape or get into a fight faster. Also if you cast twilight shroud connected to a bush and flash, you may trick them and they will go past the bush or wait in it thinking you are there.

: Also viable instead of Ignite since it will slow people down and reduce damage they can do. Very helpful against another assassin character or dps. As well as anyone who is trying to run away from you.


: Personally I'm not to big of a fan of ghost however its speed boost can save you many times. Or to chase somebody down but your ultimate will cover that for you.

Other Options

: I'd recommend changing the hourglass into this if you are against a DPS heavy time or getting harassed a lot by characters such as yi or ashe.

: Always good if they have any type of suppression abilities.

: Should they build a lot of Magic Res you should probably switch out the hextech gunblade with this.
