Aylmaoo. Good start, huh? I bet not a single person on the whole wide web knows me. Maybe because om Bronze 5 though, lol. I got into Lol 4 months ago, and just started to play ranked now. Ended up in Bronze 1, after the 10 matches, mostly because my team couldn't handle Zilean and his way of playing. And yeah, I'm just a big noob which actually just write things that come out of my head right now..thats me in a nutshell. I could have written a whole guide on Jax, without having played him, but still come up with a decent amount on words on him. Everything that poops up, gets down to the papah.

Smaller introduction: Zileano is many things. He runs faster than a Usain Bolt on steroids, can be declared dead for so to wake up and get back on to the steroids while throwing bombs. In fact, what is cooler than a champion on steroids, can throw freaking bombs and got more lifes than a cat :> Eylmaoo, you guessed right, nothing!

AOE STUN with awesome dmg, omg that sh*t is beautiful. AOE their whole team is an incredible feeling, i can tell you that right away. The simple combo: Q-W-Q, E yourself, stop, look at them and Ctrl 4. Grandpa always win at the end.

Cons:
Can be considered squishy i guess. No escape tools except the OP steroid speed boost.
Old.
Can be easy to lock down if you dont get your Q-W-Q combo off.
Skillshots, which imo makes the game more fun, but others just hate those pointers.

Flash is a must have on Zilean, aswell as on any other champion. Zilean is good at escaping, but if he's for example stunned, there is a good chances that he might die in a teamfight. Jk, he'll just Chronoshift, get that doublebomb which procs the stun and get that sweet Penta. This might just only happen once in a lifetime doe, but hey, as an old Zilean, everything you got is time :>

Teleport, because i like to get back into fights ASAP, and Ignite really just becomes useless after 20+ minutes.

RANGE: 1000 STATIC COOLDOWN: 120
Time in a bottle - Passive: Zilean generates 2 / 3.5 / 5 / 6 / 12 experience every 5 seconds, which does not advance his own level. When he has enough to level up an allied champion and is out of combat, he can right-click them to to initiate a 1 second channel, after which he grants them enough experience to finish their level and receiving the same amount. If the channel is interrupted, Time in a Bottle goes on cooldown for 2 seconds. Time in the Bottle starts the game on cooldown.

RANGE: 900 / 300 / 100. COST: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 MANA. COOLDOWN: 10 / 9.5 / 9 / 8.5 / 8.
Time Bomb - Q: Zilean throws a ticking time bomb to the target location that detonates after 3 seconds, dealing magic damage to all surrounding enemies.
MAGIC DAMAGE: 75 / 115 / 165 / 230 / 300 (+ 90% AP)

If a unit is near a Time Bomb as it lands or has already landed, they pick it up and become the holder, causing it to detonate at their location at the end of its duration.

If a bomb holder picks up another Time Bomb, the first bomb immediately detonates and briefly Stun icon stuns all affected enemies.

COST: 35 MANA COOLDOWN: 14 / 12 / 10 / 8 / 6.
Rewind - W: Zilean reduces Time Bomb and Time Warp's cooldowns by 10 seconds.

RANGE: 550 COST: 50 MANA COOLDOWN: 15
Time Warp - E: Zilean bends time around the target champion, slowing them if they are an enemy or granting them bonus movement speed if they are an ally for 2.5 seconds.
MOVEMENT SPEED MODIFIER: 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 / 99%

RANGE: 900. COST: 125 / 150 / 175. MANA COOLDOWN: 120 / 90 / 60.
Chronoshift - R: Zilean places a protective time rune on the target ally champion or himself for 5 seconds. If the target takes fatal damage during that time, they are instead put in Stasis for 2 seconds and are revived with a set amount of health.
HEALTH REGAINED: 600 / 850 / 1100 (+ 200% AP)

As you can see here, his kit is really special, as I've already mentioned a couple times lol. I also put in the range, mana and cooldowns on the different abilities.
As you can see, Rewind has a 6 second cooldown at max rank, which mean you have an AOE stun skillshot every 6 seconds, which is just insane. And for a so good ultimate as Chronoshift, 60 seconds at max rank is so little. Together with the 40% CDR items you will have Chronoshift up every 30 seconds or so. All in all I'd say he have a overpowered kit, too bad people are not playing this champion. He's just forgotten tbh.

Jau, I really don't know whats a optimal build for Zilean. I just picked the items I have been having fun with and done great with tbh. People may talk forever about why they pick that exact item. Im not like that. I see Cooldown reduction, I happy. So, if you want a full guide on why you should pick Morellonomicon, you've come to the wrong guide. This is simply the items that have worked for me, and which fullfill my criterias. One build with CDR, AP and Mana and another more bruiser like build. Build items after the matchups and how the match is developing, not because someone wrote a full side on how good morellonomicon is and its a guaranteed first back. I'm simple like this. I don't resereach the sh*t out of items, I just try different things out, put em in a "pot" or whatever, and cook some real nice sh*t out of it.

Zilean have two main combo's. Just two imo. That is: Q-W-Q and E-W-E. Thats it tbh. As simple as that. Q-W-Q when you engage and E-W-E when you disengage.

This may look simple and all, but hitting that Q-W-Q combo on 3-4 people is really hard. You have to really position yourself good if you want to hit that AOE stun. In laning phase though, its easy to hit that Q-W-Q combo tbh, because its mainly only one person mid. Yes, I look at you Normal SoloQ -.-

And btw, to hit that AOE stun you need to land both bombs on the same person or close to the person so it attaches to him/her.

Uh, Zilean have a really weird cast animation which makes it kinda hard to farm. This is something you can get used to though, instead of LeBlanc's cast animation *puke*. As with any other champion, you should just farm minions with autoattacks and sometimes hit that doublebomb on them if they are perfectly lined up for 5 CS. You'll have mana problems early on if you spam your abilities, and thats why i dont advice you too spam bombs on your opponent laner so early. Instead try to get a early lead on him, back, get some items, and then try to get some damage off. It can be hard to actually get a kill with Zilean in laning phase because your Q is your only damage ability. And people get scared off after your doublebombs. You have like nothing to follow up with, except basic attacks. Thats why you should ask your jungler to come and try a gank right after you land the stun, which guarantees a kill 90% of the time. If your jungler plays really dumb and towerdives at lvl 3, to secure a kill, and can't get back out of the tower's range in time, you can either Chronoshift him, if you're lvl 6, or Timewarp him. With Zilean on the team, there is no such thing as bad decisions :>

Zileano, is a huge teamplayer. When you get your Time Bombs at max rank, only one bomb does 300 damage! And thats without the 90% AP scaling! Imagine having 700 Ap in the lategame, and you hit that Q-W-Q combo. Oh, dayummmm, thats an insane amount of damage. 300 base damage + 90% Ap of 700 Ap = 930 dmg on one bomb. If you hit the doublebombs then the first bomb will detonate, dealing 930dmg, stun, and after a while deal another 930 dmg. 1860dmg in total! With a cooldown on 6 seconds. And please, I might have calculated this wrong, I'm not really that good at math :)

Together with this he have Chronoshift which can reviwe anyone every 40 seconds or so with 40% CDR and maxed out. Thats insane, and also this ability got insane scaling. At max rank: Health regained: 1100 + 200% AP. Wow! Let's say that we still have 700 Ap, thats a 2500 heal every 40 seconds, which is enough to get a squishy fully back to life.

His E can also be very useful in teamfights, where you can slow the very fed Vayne, while speeding up your own ADC.

All of his abilities is unique and must be used together to make the most out of Zilean. He can actually save the whole team from dying with his kit. "Just" AOE stun the opponent team, speed some ally's up, revive someone and get back! As simple as that;)

I understand that this isn't the most indept guide. Not at all. I just wanted to put this up here for fun. And no, I can't say that i have spent countless hours on this. I can't say that. I made this over the night. And no, this isn't a fantastic guide which goes indepth on every single tiny thing. Thats not needed, its just to try it out for yourself. Experience > knowledge. And yeah, I also didn't do any coding because im sick atm. I'll just leave it at this for now, and hope that someone might have had use for this, if not, have a great day and thank you.
