Introduction

I'm still working on this guide. So im very interested in new comments and votes.

Runes

For runes, i choose the typicall ap carry set.
It means: AP, Magic Penetration and MP

Masteries

On masteries.
I go for the whole three of offensive (the magic side) and for utility i put some points on mana and the most important: Shrine

Shrine is very important if your jungle will give blue buff. It will give a lot of time and a lot of cast without caring about Mana. Remember that you maybe will have some mana problems if you cast spells for farming.
With the blue buff i often push a little and then i go to gank

Items

I go for massive Magic Penetration and AP.

A lot of people ask me why i pick Liandry's Torment first.
The reason is for the Passive. With the passive and the ranged plants you will always will be burning their HP, so you will keep the enemy away from you (usually a i put the plants perpendicular to the minion's line to have the lane control)
I don't think that you need Rylai if you can land a good E, remember that Zyra has 4 CCs.
And i don't usually like the Zhonya cause it paralyze you for a little time.

Skill Sequence

If the oponent is a high movility mid laner (Katarina, Diana, etc...) i always go for Q. Is fast, decent damage, etc...

If the oponent is a slow mage you should preffer E. When the oponent can do a dash hit E too.
