On the topic of "fighting my own battles":
I haven't actually been at my computer so I just read all of this now...

As for flow:
Apparently you didn't see the post where I tried to fade mine into yours and effectively got laughed at (because it looked wrong) and was told I would have to do it a different way because otherwise my piece would be too small. I found a brush that I thought worked with the theme of mine well enough and placed as little of it on your piece as I could...expecting me to take the render you used for yours and put it on top of mine is no better than what I did and is somewhat insulting as it implies that the end of your piece is more important than the beginning of mine. I faded it as well as I could under the circumstances seeing as I am apparently required to have my piece take up 500X200 worth of space as opposed to having the initial size be 500X200 but be slightly smaller due to fading it decently enough to look the way you guys want it to...(what I had planned to do)

As opposed to girls without breasts?

We never set any real parameters save for size, so I just did what I did.

This is our first attempt at a worm, supposed to be fun and let us all intermingle our styles.

The end result is what it is. It's a first shot, we have time to make more, and all get better.

Everyone put forth an effort they felt appropriate.

I mean Zesty was the one who came up with the idea to do one.

I've said it plenty of times next one will have more parameters. Then we don't have this whole

issue of who thinks what does or doesn't flow, because we will all have more to work with ^_^.

And with more info we can adjust our flow better IE: "It has begun, the boobs of war have been unleashed!!!!!!!!"

Nameless: Jeffy would defend you to the ends of the earth, which is what I meant =.=

In terms of "insulting as it implies the end of mine is more important that yours" - IT IS. That's the whole point of the worm. The transition part is meant to flow. Meaning one shouldn't just chuck in a border to cut one off from the other.

Everyone else made sacrifices in the beginning of their piece for the sake of flow, what makes your contribution any more important or grandeur than the ones before it that you can go beyond the rules of the worm?

I saw Zesty's splice of your work and mine, and then I saw your brush. Did you have a look at the example worms in the first post? They all tried to make it flow, not cut off other people's work with a random brush.

Manipulating my image is perfectly fine, that wasn't what I was trying to point out.

Jeffy: No, your original piece looked so incredibly pasted on, is what I meant by "BOOOBS". The border wasn't the same px, the colour of the join was shades off. What I did was alter it so it looked like it flowed, adding more depth to the story instead of just pluncking in a random character.

You play DnD, you know what it's like to have a setting, a mood, a character, and then someone comes in from a totally different time zone, wearing futuristic clothes and completely offsets the original idea.

In terms of guidelines for the next worm, yes, there should be some, as I shouldn't have to be the one to merge every entry so they match (before you scream at me, "NO ONE APPOINTED YOU TO DO THAT", I took it upon myself, and I take all blame for merging the works. Should I have done it? Maybe not. Did my contributions keep the worm flowing? Yes they did).

It's so simple to copy and past the previous entry and make sure it matches. And in the case where renders are used and go off screen, perhaps the renders should be supplied in the post too. As with fonts, brushes, etc etc.

*sighs* All it comes down to is parameters. We didn't set any. Except size. You took it upon yourself, that's fine, all I was saying was let someone know. Your edits look great, and the flow is maintained rather well considering our theme just kinda goes where it pleases.

An additional reason why I was hoping we could start a new one.

This was my first time doing this, as I've said it was most likely the first time for a lot of us. Ergo trying to blend sig a with sig b isn't something most of us have experience in.

Moving on new one soon. Let's start brainstorming how we want to approach this one a lil more closely.

Honestly, the parameters don't really matter - the most important thing is that the whole thing flows properly. How you end your piece is really important; if it's really da derp, then the next person will have a hard time. How you begin each piece is also important, if it doesn't flow nicely then it looks stupid. Take a look at the examples, and you can see how, as jhoi said, it "tells a story" brilliantly. Notice how in the first example (also my favorite worm piece ever), themes like "When It's Inside Of You" are repeated throughout the worm - and sometimes, the pieces "reply" with each other, for example: Roses are Red, then next piece goes Violets are Blue .Granted, it's most people's first worm experience (which this worm looks perfectly fine, btw) and if we really want to do a Take Two, fine. We all now have more experience doing it and know what it should look like. My only request is that the height should be taller, though.

*shrugs* whelp this time we'll at least know what a worm is and how it functions rather than just ya know winging it with a size and piss all for actual information aside from a bunch of other worms and no real idea of what the hell was going on.

I just expected this to be fun. Not become a headache because most of us were just going off of "it's a string of images" and trying to make it work.

I'd like a take 2, so we can see how far we've come. And get a better. Start better, fill it up and keep going ^_^.

Alright so new worm questions to ask and answer:

-size? 500x250 or 500x300 or larger?

-Border? Yes/No? If yes PIXEL SIZE PLEASE

-Color Scheme? If yes how many colors and what colors?

-Padding between images? (Nothing sliding off the edges basically meaning color transitions/or simple shapes or renders to aid in the transition are supplied)

-Theme? A story to tell? If so what story? Or do we use pop culture? Video games? History? Anime? Manga? Movies?

-To create flow shall there be a common element in each piece? A string/beam/laser/bar/etc. All connected helping link each image together? As in a line which would cut through the middle of our starting image and then the next person continues the line but curves it downward in their image and carries it into the next image in which they swirl it before it carries into the next image AND SO ON.

There are some questions to ask, finding a common consensus of HOW we wish these pieces to have flow, as well as presentation means we won't have issues, and if we do, we'll have a simple list to check on how to fix them.

-size? 500x250 or 500x300 or larger?
I believe it should be 500x350. Tall enough to add more details, small enough not to go overboard.

-Border? Yes/No? If yes PIXEL SIZE PLEASE
There doesn't need to be a border, and when I added mine it was to show flow from Zesty's. Noobs' had a border too, but he faded it halfway to get rid of it, which is what I assumed you'd do, lol.

-Color Scheme? If yes how many colors and what colors?
No need for colour scheme either. It just has to flow. If mine was yellow, and there is clearly a line where yours starts as purple, it's not flowing.

-Padding between images? (Nothing sliding off the edges basically meaning color transitions/or simple shapes or renders to aid in the transition are supplied)
No need for padding either. The whole point of letting things slide off the edges is that it gives the next person something to work with, a challenge of sorts. In the examples, people have swirled lines, or edges of road, or footpathing. Using MobaFire's worm as an example, Xiao left me with a sunset and a large black line. All I did was took a large (about 4px) soft round brush and make a squiggly line to fill in with a replicated version of her image, and everything beyond that was my image. It flowed.

-Theme? A story to tell? If so what story? Or do we use pop culture? Video games? History? Anime? Manga? Movies?
No need to have a theme, but telling a story would be cool. However, limiting the worm will mean less diversity between posts.

That's what the flow is all meant to be about. Basically you have 300px to make something. The first 50-100px is you working with the previous post to get it to flow. The last 50-100px should be something the next person can flow into their post. There doesn't need to be a continuous line, each post just needs to flow from the next.

Sorry about arguing earlier. Got a stupid anti-racism assignment due in two days, and it's pissing me off.
