Hey Yaya i got a question. I noticed that in your signatures you have the small diagonal lines in the background. May i ask where you get that? I looks very nice and I would like to use it when I play around on Gimp.
If you found me helpful give me some +Rep :)

Veng: It's best to use a clipping mask of the image you originally started with, in order to keep the colour themes the same. Generally speaking, people don't have a "clipping mask" picture to use when clipping masking text; it's just the picture the sig is made from, and then moved around until it suits, or blurred.
@ Veng: Thanks :) The text font I used is called Inky.
I didn't use a clipping mask at all :P What I did is make the text of a light shade of the background color (for example if the background is blue, I make the text's color light blue), put the text layer on Overlay 100% and duplicate it 3-5 times, add a 20% glow and 75% drop shadow and you're done :D
@IPodPulse those diagonal lines are called Pattern overlays or Grid filters. I don't use GIMP, I use photoshop so I don't know how they are done on GIMP, but the basic idea is that it's just a layer with a lot of thin horizontal, vertical or diagonal lines that are put on very low opacity (~10%)
You should ask The_Nameless_Bard about anything GIMP related by the way :D She is amazing at it, and in fact, she is the one who taught me how to use the grid filters :P
