Trying to take screenshots via ctrl+PrntScr will result in a black image. You have to go to settings, and go borderless/windowed mode. To do this, you may need to change your resolution down a notch so the whole screen is visible. Then ctrl+prntscrn works fine.
Once you have ctrl+prntscr'd you need to open up an image editing program, like Paint, and paste (ctrl+v).
