Giant's Belt early on.

Yea, I'll be sure to add that in to the items section or somewhere.

Earlier a standalone vamp scepter. Going straight for IE without any crit before or AS is quite meh imho.
Get at least Yoyo before IE. (Meh... another Yi with Yoyo :P)
An early vamp scepter would definitely be useful, so I'll add that. And this isn't the exact item sequence. Getting IE before you have any crit or AS is, as you said, is quite meh. I was sure to take that into account :P

Retreating?! Hell no, we're just attacking the other direction!
lacks alot of lifesteal, which is pretty much vital on yi, frozen mallet is not that great on yi either, considering hes fast and usually always should have a red buff up. Overall pretty standard, you should add some tweaks to it

I don't really get Frozen Mallet for the slow, it's more for the health. The slow just makes you less reliant on Red Buff as well.
As for lifesteal, I have always found Bloodthirster to be plenty.

You, you, and you: Panic. The rest of you, come with me.
For me, Youmuu's active along with Highlander give the lacking AS for the time needed to tear down a target.
I feel pretty confident now.
Guess it's time to finish up teh Mastah Yi build.

History is the fiction we invent to persuade ourselves that events are knowable and that life has order and direction. That's why events are always reinterpreted when values change. We need new versions of history to allow for our current prejudices.

if its not for the slow, do what I do and work towards a warmog and/or banshee, frozen mallet isnt much of a survival item and lacks alot when you compare it to the surv of warmog or banshee... You should be reliant on red buff, you have alot of attack speed and can chop him down in seconds... even if you do not have the red buff I assume u run exhaust ..your a fast character too and by the time you get the frozen mallet, the enemies will be lacking some turrets = more distance they have to run = more time you get to chop em into pieces. Frozen mallet isnt that good on yi tbh..
and oh yeah.. I hate youmuu, just personal view on it.. its not good on yi.
