Ranked games can be rough. You start at a completely reset ELO. You know how you have a hidden normal game ELO, and the game uses that to match you with other similar-leveled players in your normal games? I don't believe that that ELO affects your ranked game matchmaking, meaning that you'll often find yourself paired with terrible players early on.
I recommend duo queuing with a friend, especially one that you can rely on.

Welcome to the community. I think if you go ahead and log onto the moba vent (look in off-topic section for more detail) you'll find plenty of reliable duo queue partners when you don't feel like traversing the treacherous grounds known as ranked solo queue alone.
