Heimerdinger is a bit skillshot reliant, but I feel hes better than talon atm. Ranged hard CC, high damage, and turret presence outdoes talon's assassination and roaming capabilities IMO.

Haha. I'm well aware of what talon is capable of, believe me, but with how tanky tops are and how much damage junglers do now, roaming and assassinating is a lot more difficult for talon now.
Coming back to this thread I would like to retract my previous statement regarding Garen, he's much better than I previously thought. I actually think he might be a bit underrated, having a guaranteed execution on the enemy tank and being immensely tanky yourself is quite powerful. He definitely deserves where he is.

That and junglers can afford to build damage now that tops are always tanky.
