I don't think there's a Moba as good as League personally.

I agree duff.
The simple mechanics, solid interface, decent levels of customization in appearance and runes/masteries, the capacity for high skill play, the tempo and pacing of each game etc.
Unlike dota 2...which doesnt seem to have any of those things, just a glossy hd graphics engine.....

Dota 2:
The good:
More active items/item diversity and more diverse spells = higer skillcap = allows for better/more fun play. Always shifting meta-game. amazing hero design and amazing sound design. (When some heroes in dota kills anohter hero, he says a voice line specifically for killing that hero, so cool) and you get items for your hero (for free) instead of skins (Items are only for looks, like skins).
The bad:
Can be over complicated (some of the tool-tips for spells are stupidly complicated). Its very un-clear for new players what heroes and easy and what heroes are hard. No real persistent profile (you get levels, but levels only give you new items for you hero to wear)
Lol:
The good:
Easy to grasp. Great for newcomers. Nice art style. very fluid movement/combat. A great item shop. Some of the early champions are very well designed.
The bad:
A very stale (and boring) meta game. The newer characters are all very badly designed and are simply boring to look at. (too many humans). A lot of spells feel the same. There is a very small amount of spells that require more than "point at place and shoot" or "on next attack". Very small amount of active items.
I know i said more bad about Lol, but i like both very much. I have not played lol for 2 month now (reason for me not being on the site) but have instead been playing dota 2 (and gotten a lot better at it).
Dota 2 is a VERY good game. Lol is VERY good game. They both have flaws. But if i had too pick one, i woud pick dota, simply because its newer, requires WAYYYYYY more skill and is simply more challenging. (something i thought maybe the great and powerfull Duff will enjoy)
And a note to Jeffy:
The game seems slow at first, compared to Lol. But once you start playing it, you realize how fast paced and tempo filled it can be.
Until next time, -Omagma out.

ALL HAIL QUEEN CHRYSALIS!
IDK about "higher" skill cap. As far as I can tell DoTA 2 (although DoTA is essentially the progenitor of MOBAs) does what LoL does, but worse and clunkier so players can TELL themselves they're playing a "more difficult" game. Because in reality they are, not for anything more than the terrible interface and purposely slow pacing enforced by the lack of any user friendly additions...Want to return to base? Make sure you have a town portal scroll, want to get back to lane? Get a tele scroll. Need an item? Oh you need to traverse the map to the secret shop to get it, hope your team isn't doing too poorly or you might get killed while you're there. I can go on, if you like it Omagma fine, but don't try to sell it as anything more than an older Moba with a new high gloss sheen. Or is the ability to deny your enemy creeps your idea of difficult/higher skill cap? Makes the lanes boring and the pacing even worse.
I don't even know what the meta is for LoL anymore. SOOOO much works in terms of team composition. The general overview: Solo top/Solo mid/jungle/Support+AD Bot is simply the framework. The deeper level of picks/counter picks, lane flow, jungle flow, etc. etc. If you can't see the level of difficulty that LoL has hidden underneath you must take another look.
But those are my personal thoughts. I find LoL to be a better game overall, more exciting to play, more exciting to watch.
