It is totally possible for a team to take teleport, jump to a lane at top speed and run to that tiny brush, drop a ward, and have allies follow with their own teleport.
It's still doable, just more tedious and risky.
As Heimerdinger or Shaco, you don't even need a ward. Just drop a
H-28G Evolution Turret or Jack In The Box
