There's more then 1000 ways to skin a dead cat. It all depends on how good the person is at doing it there own way.
That's... one way of phrasing it.
And people call backdooring being able to take down a turret while the other team doesn't notice, it doesn't imply that the character itself has to be able to tank the turret. Why do you think people play backdoor Yi? You don't necessarily have to push a lane hard but if you're able to that's a plus. Global ults + great backdoor ability = TF pretty goot.

No.. Jun is right about the meaning of backdooring.

Anyone know who the high-ELO streamer is?
Would like to take a look later. Might give me some ideas. :3

Toshabi meant to say AP Pushing.

It's ambiguous because people like to generate new meanings due to lack of knowledge or respect.
In a discussion, you need to have clear-cut definitions for what's what.
For the sake of this discussion:
Backdooring = Attacks the turret alone
Solo-Push = Attacking the turret with minions to tank
Split-Push = Sub-category of Solo-pushing where you went to solo-push while allies keep the enemy occupied.
(The term, Split-Push, gives off the idea that it's teamwork, where Solo-push just sounds like you're overextending)
If you dislike this, please provide a set of definitions you're comfortable with.
-can't wait to see what you make up for tanking the turret, since there's no other term for it-

Honestly, it has turned into a very ambiguous term nowadays. Most people refer to the latter as B-wong described it.

4.1 Creep skipping/backdooring is forbidden. This means you are not allowed to attack towers or other buildings without creep support.
4.2 "Creep support" means that the tower is in range of attacking creeps - even if the creeps do not choose to attack the tower or vice versa. You do not have to cancel your attack if all creeps are dead.
4.3 You are allowed to attack any building in enemy base if there are friendly creeps in the base when you entered. You do not have to leave/stop attacking if all creeps are dead. E.g - creeps enter the top entrance of base and start attacking the tower/barracks. You can enter the base by any entrance and attack any building as long as you entered while creeps were in the base. You may stay as long as you want.

Copy pasted from old Dota league rules. That is backdooring. Allowed now by rules

If the tower has only 300 or less HP left and I'm full hp, then you bet your bottom that I'm going to finish that sucker off.
