Brand is one of the 3 TOP picks for mid at the moment.
Irelia is a great pick for Solo top, good damage, high sustainability, great kit of skills, hard to be ganked as her.
Nocturne, scary as **** from level 6, great ganks, Hard damager once build Tanky DPS.

No but seriously just like nearly everyone above me said, all three are powerful champs in their own areas. It just depends on what playstyle fits you best and what the team needs the most.

Oriana is considered the strongest champ atm, she just dominates her lane and provides a lot of utility after the early/mid game while still doing sick amounts of burst. Being an avid Brand player myself I feel that Oriana is just a better champ to pick because of the strengths I've just mentioned and I find myself banning her a lot.
