No, listen. it happens...to everyone. As you just said. Meaning EVERYONE'S scores go down. SO it evens it out. Everyone's score drops a little, so now a lower % is a new high standard.
Thanks to TRUeLM, Plastictree, Scrax, Xiaowiriamu, foggy12, JahGFX, jhoijhoi, msrobinson, JEFFY40HANDS, Nyoike, MissMaw, and me :) for the sigs!
The problem here is that while troll votes are designed to counter-weight upvotes to give guides an honest rating, there are too many troll votes coming out in the first few days after a new champion build is published. That makes it impossible for any guide to get a high percentage, regardless of how good it is. :/
Like Jun said, troll votes are good, but only in moderation.

Oh look, it's one of these threads again.
In all seriousness, we should do a day pause on voting. A day to check out some guides/the site. That way, you're forced to actually use some of the guides when you sign up. Or if you really wanna -1, you're gonna have to come back another day brah.

That's not a bad suggestion. Allow new accounts to be created but don't allow them to vote on guides at all for a brief time period after account creation.
While some people will just make new accounts in advance when a new champ comes out, the vast majority of those "sheep" and "troll" votes are from people who sign up the day the guides are available for voting to say how well or how badly they did.
Another possibility is to require a certain amount of posts before being able to vote. HOWEVER, this would increase spam drastically and we would have to implement a word filter as well as being much more vigilant in moderation to accomplish such a goal.

Yes and no on this one from me.
Yes becouse i am also sick and tired on ppl trying to cheat the system.
No becouse i also find ppl accualy creating accounts just to post that one vote on for example my build.
And we need more ppl accualy signing up on the site.
All in all... 1 day delay on voting would be my choice for those accounts.

This is exactly what I would like to be implemented.
I think it should be a week, but any period is better than none.

"I also am Otherkin. Whenever autumn rolls around I can feel my kin-type slowly taking over my body. You must know, I identify as pumpkin. I can control it pretty good most of the time, but when September ends, I just cant hold it in anymore. Whenever Im outside I see my brothers and sisters being chopped into soup, coffee, donuts, cake, drinks, bread - ppl even cut human faces into their skin, making a mockery out of their noble appearance. When I see things like that I cant control my pumpkin urges anymore. My natural instincts kick in. I then sit down motionless, while getting bright orange." - Morgana L

Also, keep in mind, this happens to EVERYONE.
We understand what you are saying, but we can't really do anything. Do you know how much hate there would be to the site if new accounts could not vote, even if it is just on new champions? A lot of our recent member base has been from people making new accounts to give input on the new champs. This site gets out the new champs quick (:D Matt), so it attracts a lot of people looking for resources on the new champs. As such, they want to vote on the new champs builds. We did a lot already to help this by preventing votes for 5 days, but now to make new members not be able to vote on guides they came here to see for 2 weeks?
No.
Yes exactly, this happens to EVERYONE, I'm not just trying to prevent this from happening to myself. Honestly wRAthoFVuLK your logic isn't even in your post.
on that note, downvoting your guides, brb
And good job Jet, go trolling my guides, and admitting it.
