Ok, if your preference are ranged carries then half the time in the future you won't be laning versus those two you mentioned.
As to your questions:
Are some heroes just way easier to play and become powerful with?: There's a different skill level to each champion. Some of them - like the two you mentioned - are highly accessible to new players, and since they snowball with kills they start hitting harder and harder. Also, their strength level with their ulti greatly increases. This does not mean they are "nab heroes" per se, since each champion can be mastered and the difference tells.
Are some just stronger than others? Yes and no. Each champion has strengths and weaknesses, and so they will have higher ease faring versus some and great difficulty versus others. There's also factors like roles and how each champion grows over the game in order to fill their role. Your prefered ones, per example, are known for how strong they get lategame if you build them right (and if your team builds "around you"). Others have brutal starts and fall off if their enemies play right (like
Garen ).
What should you do against these guys to stand a chance at all? There are at least three ways to increase how well you fare against a champ that's destroying you: 1) Play that champ yourself. It'll teach you how their skills behave, how to move around, what's your focus, etc; 2) Read the top rated Mobafire guides about that champion. This may seem like a joke, but guides teach you how to play a champ so, reversely, they teach how to play against that champ; 3) Google for general weaknesses and counters for said champion. Read.
Also, to your case specifically: you outrange both darius and yi. Yi has to alpha strike to you in order to get in range. Use both Ashe's and Tristana's W to get away, and hit him after that. He won't be able to chase without his ulti
Highlander. When he does get highlander, and assuming you're alone, use both your ultis to gtfo and underturret. As for Darius, he is also outranged. Play smart, last-hit minions (it gives precious gold) and, if he moves towards you, just move back. Start with boots so you can escape Aprehend easier.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tips. So especially in 3v3, at low level, I'm generally just out of luck when I face these characters and my teammates can't take them on either?
I don't really outrange Darius though? Because he has his pull-attack, which he can use when I get in shooting range, and then he can smash away half my health at least if I even manage to escape at all.
And also, I outrange Yi until he has his ulti, but as soon as he is lvl 6, that won't help me much anymore?

his range is over 100 lower than your aa range (with ashe=tristana at 6), so you should b able to kite the heck out of him
just try to always get some poke on them and you can destroy both of them in laningphase easily.
another point is, 3v3 is horribly inbalanced. xD

You have to stop yi with your ultis. As for 3 vs 3, it's not good for most ranged carries (the ones you like) SPECIALLY before you're well experienced. It's just too imbalanced, Tryndamere rules until and during level 30, and tanks make it a nightmare as well
Thank you Byron for 2014's loudest laugh up till today

play more, and learn to counter. for yi, CC rapes him. for darius, bully him at range.
Thank you jhoijhoi, Keondre, LaCorpse, The_Nameless_Bard, Arcana3, Apfeljack, Hogopogo, eddie199, Xiaowiriamu, and JEFFY40HANDS for the spectacular sigs!

Hate to say it, but in TT, when i see an ashe or a tristana, i start to drool. All i see when i see those champs is a snack. TT is the realm of off-tanks, hyper-carries, and tanky DPS. If you arent sturdy and trying to play in TT, you need to be DAMN good to do properly, or at least have good teammates that know how to work around you. For Darius, your slow on auto attacks will let you kite him all day long and leave him open to ganks when he gets tired of you shoving arrows in his *** and comes after you. As for Master Yi, again, kite his ***, and if he DOES alpha in to you, get ur ult ready so u can hit him after he reappears and run away back to your turret. That advice works for both ashe and tristana. By the time you get to mid to late game, if you have managed to harass them enough and deprive them of farm, you will likely be able to out-dps them, and its GG from there.

Hey, if you liked any advice i gave, be sure to +rep me! Oh, and check out my Shaco and Maokail lorecraft in my Blog! I'm a starving artist in need of attention, so please feel free to read, respond, and critique me! Please? Anybody that leaves a comment (good or bad) will receive a +rep!
Like the above poster said, ranged champions are just gonna get torn apart on Twisted Treeline. I'd suggest you go visit some of the guides on these champion that are beating you. One way to always have the advantage on another player is to know your enemy. :)

Yes and no. Caitlyn, Tristana, Vayne, Kayle and Varus can handle the TT meta if you know what you're doing and your team isn't ******ed. TT is also Vayne stun paradise, so if you get a decent CC lane partner things can snowball in her favor pretty hard.
What your melee carry requires is: 1) Great Harass, 2) Escape Method (Varus doesn't have this, but his harass is completely ******ed, and Kayle goes for on-hit DPS which is tankier than normal carries), and 3) A team that's not ******ed. Leona, Amumu, Volibear, etc all can get a kill lane in your favor

I'm pretty new to League of Legends, though I'm pretty experienced in strategy games and I like to think of myself as someone who knows how to generally play a game like this, and I fare pretty well so far.
There is one thing though that just highly frustrates me. There are some heroes, like Darius and Master Yi, that seem to be just so much stronger and easier to play than many others. I generally only manage to beat them if the player playing them just outright sucks. But even if they are not very good, I just can't take them down and they keep killing me or at least making me leave the lane all the time.
The frustrating thing about it is that I just can't see what I do wrong. It's not even that I might be just a bit too weak to get them, generally, I don't stand a chance at all. And if I get a team mate to help me, they usually manage to escape because of high health or armor, sometimes even after killing one of the 2 gankers.
