but your replies were getting pretty annoying and didn't actually contribute much to the discussion at times.

Are you serious? I think we can all agree that your comment makes much more sense when applied to you.
But hey, maybe I'm not being fair and your comments are actually interesting and filled with precious insights, so let me just check your 10 replies on the last 6 pages, which comprise 16.67% of the comments.

I don't contribute much to the discussion? Lol. This is undeniable proof that, like Searz said, your comments are "utterly pointless and honestly, rather immature."

I tried not to sound mean, but there's a limit to how friendly you can appear when criticizing someone.

This makes no sense and seems more like something a child would say when they don't understand the situation, but still want to "defend" themselves. (then again, you might be a child and there's nothing being one)

Well I know you've never looked at my profile then, but no I'm not a child. I do understand the situation, but stop trying to make it seem like it's only my fault.

Comments like "Toshabi: 1, Canoas: 0" are even worse as they are not only devoid of anything in the least bit useful, they also serve to edge on the people discussing, possibly just turning it into a big flame-fest.

I said it because he is right, and obviously it did cause a flame-fest since you are saying this to me. It probably was unnecessary to say but honestly, I've seen worse than that.

Keep in mind that I am NOT trying to insult you. I only want help you get better at contributing to discussions.

Thanks I guess. Besides this thread and the 1-0 comment I made on the other thread. I've been fine, as far as I know.

Not every single one of my comments had to relate to the thread discussion. I was merely replying to other comments, and you're gonna use that to say my comments are pointless. Not cool.

I'm talking about your "contribution" to MY comment. I guess you read it differently than I intended.

Thank you. What you said proves that the bible is full of ******** and contradictory ideas. If god exists then he must be bipolar. However, why are you going to ignore the morals from the passages I quoted and choose only the ones that coincide with our current values? Why not the other way around? You either accept the bible or you don't, you can't start choosing the passages you like and ignoring the ones you don't.

How did this help in any way? I stuck with exactly the passages you were referring to. You MADE UP the "morals" just from reading it. I either accept the bible or I don't? Everything I said WAS from the bible.

Yea, you are so right on that though.

Change the "because he is right" to "because I think he is right" and it's much better. Definition is important.

There's always worse, but that's no excuse.
Saying something like "I agree with Toshabi on this matter" is infinitely better, even if somewhat lacking in useful content. Try to back up statements with a reasoning, something like "I agree with Toshabi because I think his opinions on pony sex are valid". (replace pony sex with topic of choice)

You might wanna look over your overall commenting, because I see a lot of comments with very little useful content. Just something to keep in mind.

Just like Mithra, the dude jesus was based on! But it's been three days and yesterday was Sunday, so we know it won't resurrect.

You do realise that what toshabi wrote made no sense whatsoever, right? At most it could be used as a reply against him..

Xeronn wrote:

Sure, it's fine if you reply to other people, I don't mind, but don't go claiming other people's comments don't contribute to the discussion when your own comments are off-topic, pointless, or both. Specially when, like I'm going to show you now, my comment actually made sense. The bible is contradictory at best and if it was indeed inspired by God then God has to be bipolar.

No, you didn't. You commented on them with what some religious people are currently doing and/or other passages of the bible. Example:

Discussing religion on the internet always leads to ********. Atheists know they're right because of the overwhelming amount of evidence and religious people think they're right because they have faith. No one is going to be converted unless he/she wants to find out the truth by him/herself.

I'm done with this.

You can think what you want, I don't want to be part of this thread anymore. So don't keep pestering me.
