It's not very good..
Don't bother with it unless you really have a thing for moe stuff.
It really is just a bunch of girls doing cute stuff, all. the. time.
There's lots of reused jokes and the plot is pretty uninteresting in general honestly.
The only saving grace it has is the animation, but that alone isn't enough to carry all the bad things.

I wouldn't be quite so harsh on K-ON!, but Searz is basically right. Besides, even if you're looking for this sort of anime, Tamako Market is a better version with more plot and better moe and more interesting characters.

There isn't that much music in K-ON!, actually. It's a slice of life anime. If you're looking for a kinda' romcom-y anime with music, Sakamichi no Apollon might be more what you're looking for. Although it falls off pretty hard in the second half, which is more about being a romcom and less about jazz.

There're some pretty meh anime in there, honestly. Several of which I, personally, loved. And it's this sort of indiscriminate assertion of quality that I'm talking about, Cudd.

My posts may be long. If this bothers you, don't read them.

Well I'll still give it a go because I watch a lot of Slice of Life anime just to get away from my own life, also if the anime you suggested (Sakamichi no Appollon) is Jazz I'm gonna probably give it a miss, I have heard enough Jazz for a lifetime or two.

Such as?

The only thing I see is Yuri Yuri, Suitai Shima****a, Kimi ni Todoke, K-ON, Yahari Ore, among a few others. But the reason I added them is because they were enjoyable and I didn't really have much choice in really good anime.

You are ****ing hilarious.
"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.

I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

Just finished kokoro connect. Wouldn't recommend it to so many people as I think my opinion of it is ridiculously biased just because I could relate a lot to the show.. but eh, if anyone is looking for a slice of life with a little psychological themes and stuff go for it C:
Thanks to GrandmasterD for the sig!

I don't think it's even confirmed. Do you have any source for me to check it out?

As far as I'm concerned, I actually just finished the 8th episode of Madoka, and I am actually very impressed. I'm starting to think that the 8.6/10 on myanimelist is probably well deserved, that is if it doesn't fall off towards the very end.

One thing I'm sure of, is that no matter how Madoka ends, it's definitely not bad according to me. I might even call it above decent (good) depending on the ending, but right now, Madoka is definitely worth my time.

The thing is, there's a difference between "It's good" and "I enjoyed it", so although I might be a little bit biased because I didn't expect to enjoy watching Madoka, I wouldn't think that the general opinion on it would ba far off from mine.

One last thing, I just wanna give a heads up to people who aren't watching Madoka because of the magical girl theme in it. Last time I checked, typical magical girls have a somewhat magic wand with a sparkling star, young girl voices, sparkles and fairydust, exaggerated transformations and happy faces all over the place. Not a badass 5m bendable spear wielded by a badass girl who didn't have the brightest childhood, ready to spill people's blood when necessary.
