The movie plays before and after the main series, this was announced by shaft apparently. 1.1 Then, what parts are actually before and after? paying attention to the hairbands didn't really help >_< 2. Humans now can become Nightmares, as their friend becomes one due to the unrequitted love 3. Point 2 was probably due to Madoka rewriting the rules of the world after becoming a goddess. 4. Some speculate that the story palys in an alternative universe, I am not ready to accept this, yet. So to the story, basically: Homura became a Witch after Madoka becomes the goddess. On the way to losing her existence and soul, Homura created a fictional world inside her egg. The Incubators used her as an experiment to gather more energy from human emotions (as you know from the story, Magical Girls are destined to become witches and thus producing power for the Incubators). Because of the experiment, Homura could not lose her soul/finish her transformation into a witch and was trapped in her own fictional world, that was created with her memorys. Even though, the world was created with her memories, the Incubators changed her own memories and everyone else's. After Homura finds out, she trys to blame Bebe for it (Waplorisnacht) but it seems like Bebe is entirely innocent and even turns back into a mahou shoujo, which should be impossible(?). In the dialouge between Homura and Sayaka it becomes clear that the term 'Nightmare' and 'witch' do not exist in their world, 'Demon' was used instead. Sayaka(who should not exist because she lost her existence in the series) trys to convince Homura that the world she is in is completely fine and that she should enjoy it. Why? The Incubators mentioned that Homura can invite people into her world. Was Sayaka one of them? Now comes more shit I don't get: After Homura casts a curse onto her own egg, it breaks and she becomes the devil, the only one who is on par with a godess (in terms of power). Therefore she grabs Madoka (the godess, as she descents from the heavens) and removes all her memories of her being a goddess, and then proceeds to rewrite the rules of the world once again. Madoka, after 3 years of being 'missing'/in america, comes back and realizes that nothing changed but that she changed and trys to become a godess again, after Homura confirmed that Madoka is going to be her enemy aswell (as the devil). Homura stops her and gives her back her red Hairband. From this I guess that the ending plays after the anime, and the rest of the movie is actually before / while the anime (the time Homura fights over and over to save Madoka???)[/spoiler] HALP <_<[/quote]

You two have been doing this since the first day you met." "Got a problem?!" *Vocal diary* Pretty hard confrontation. Plain girl gets wrecked in a few sentences, and I didn't see it coming at any point in time. Well played. Game club leader acts as orchestra. Kuroneko's "goodbye" was nicely done. *Final Battle* Tension building. Glasses break. Creepy. Protag turns into an AP Rivne player. Plain girl acts as orchestra until she turns in yet another harem member. The confessions are getting a little old now... Good end. It leaves everything open. The new girl was key piece to this. For a moment I thought they were going full incest route, which I would've found decent too, but I think it's beter this way. The last kiss was a nice joke to keep the series alive. All in all, I'm not regretting watching S2. It was a nice ride. Much weird, very feels. The author flipped the whole series and took the eroge parody to its limits where it becomes most confrontational of all. The anime gives you a kick in the balls. "There ya go, now deal with it." So, I for one, would recommend watching the OVAs. It's the ultimate prank.[/spoiler] I'm around chapter 3 now with SnK. Weird to find out the whole training camp from the series wasn't part of the manga. It made some character definitions that would carry on for the rest of the series. I guess I'm not the first one to say dr. Yaeger's face looks like the giant titan's? Oh well, still much reading to do.[/quote]

[i]Hatarau Maou-sama![/i] was a lot of fun. It's a comedy rather than a slice-of-life, so the focus is very different. Also helps that it's actually good rather than just being fanservice-bait. I ended up dropping it a handful of episodes in when I realized that I just didn't give a shit about it. The writing is mediocre, the plot is bland, the art is bad, the action is unimpressive, the characters are uninspired, and the pacing left a lot to be desired. About the best thing I can say about it is that it isn't horribly sexist. Compared to other anime. If you like [i]Toaru Kagaku no Railgun[/i] this is not terribly like it nor is it likely to be worth your time. If you like [i]Toaru Majutsu no Index[/i]... Maybe you'll like [i]Tokyo Ravens[/i]? (battles get much more interesting, a plethora of characters develop) You can't judge a series based only on the first episodes I'm afraid (Unless I misunderstood this "I ended up dropping it a handful of episodes in when I realized that I just didn't give a shit about it."). It's no masterpiece, nothing close to it... It's cliche as fuck but just so enjoyable to watch it's hard to say anything bad about it when you've had the time of your life watching it xD This seems to be how the general audience feels towards the show, so I'm not randomly pulling things out of my ass :P What I can't see is how the art was bad though, I personally really liked it :o[/quote]
