Thanks friend :D
Watched shaman king, noragami, Pandora Hearts (used to be my favorite anime actually, I highly recommend anyone to check out the manga)... I think I'll check out Yozakura Quartet and Nuraryhon no Mago :3

The new season is upon us! And so far it's supremely uninspired! Woo! Here's what I've watched so far:
Bakumatsu Rock was incredibly bad. I didn't get more than about three minutes in. In which time I'd already realized that it was horribly low budget and historically anachronistic in a very-not-charming way. Meiji era period drama, except about state sponsored male idols--including all the modern trapings such as lightsticks, speaker systems, modern instruments (totally not period). So a combination of three genres I'm not terribly fond of: period drama, bishounen, and idols. Animation so bad they should've just gone for straight up motion comic; then at least it would've seemed deliberate how little actual motion there is.
Official lifebaka Rating: Kill with fire / 10
Glasslip looks like it could be good. Slice of life (I think) with nice animation and (maybe) some weird things going on. Main issue is that the first episode does little except introduce the characters, give us some tone, and set up character conflict. None of which is bad, per se, but it forgot to tell me what the **** is supposed to be going on. I'll reserve my judgement until the anime deigns to actually tell me what it is.
Official lifebaka Rating: Solid / 10
Tokyo Ghoul looks like it'll be pretty decent. Animation's pretty good, and its full of nicely dark visuals. Main character so far is kinda' eh, but I'm willing to forgive that. Main issue is how it seems to revel in pointless gore and edginess (I mean the term in the most dismissive way possible). It's got some solid ideas and could go somewhere rather interesting, but might spend too much time trying to be dark and violent and not nearly enough time being a psychological thriller.
Official lifebaka Rating: Eh / 10
Argevollen (full name is longer, FYI) is definitely mediocre, maybe even just bad. Definitely a mecha anime, but with the mechs being slow and plodding and very boring to watch fight. Mostly this has to do with horrible fight direction, but meh animation also plays a role, I think. Relatively standard fantasy setup, two countries locked in epic combat, we're gonna' be watching what some of the soldiers do, blah blah blah. Bland setting so far. Cast is too large for me to really understand what purpose most of them serve yet, except the main character who's the standard brand-spanking-new pilot who nevertheless ends up with the super-mech for reasons.
Official lifebaka Rating: Not sure I'd even recommend for genre enthusiasts / 10
Locodol is my personal highlight so far, and it's not even all that good. Light-tinted coloring helps it feel kinda' airy and light, which I'm a big fan of for totally unimportant slice of life and similar anime. This one's an idol anime, so I'm not sure I'm gonna' care to stick it through, but I'm in for episode 2 at least. Major difference between it and other recent idol anime is the size of the idol group: only two here instead of much larger. Having a smaller main cast should make it easier to give a **** about characters, but we'll see.
Official lifebaka Rating: Light and fluffy meh / 10

I will also post my first impressions on the animes I've watches this season, yet.
Tokyo Ghoul:
I am a manga reader, and this was surprisingly well made. It drifted a bit off from the manga beginning but that made it just perfect. This is going to bemore interesting!
About it not being a psychological thriller. You are right lifebaka, it is more of an action shounen with a darker atmosphere.
First episode rating: 8/10
Rail Wars!:
Generic. ****. I could literally predict every little thing that happened in the first episode.
What you cannot miss in the first episode of generic **** like this: Boy and girl fall over, boy landsn on her and grabs her boobs, then needs 30s to realize that he is grabbing her boobs, then 30s more to blush, then 30s more to let his common sense tick and get away from her.
Otakus, please. Get a grip of yourself and stop this stereotype lol. Being dense doesn't help to get laid that much.
First episode rating: 3/10
Glasslip:
Ok the new guy is a bit mysterious, but all together this reminds me so much of Nagi no Asukara and all the other 'feeling/emotional'-heavy animes. And as I am not a fan of those (I just thought AnoHana was super annoying and Clannad is ****, no tears shred) this was pretty meh to watch.
We also have a dense MC-girl again, whose only trait is the cute way she talks/interacts and 'trys' to solve problems.
First episode rating: 4/10
Shirogane no Ishi:
MC rushes head in without thinking to help someone
MC finds random new mecha, which is 5000000000000% better than all the other **** running around
MC masters this mecha within 30s
MC now is the secret weapon
MC is now the protagonist of some super generic mecha anime
First episode rating: 4/10
Majokko Shimai no Yoyo to Nene (Movie):
This is a movie that aired this season. Thus it deverts from the generic anime story line and jumps right into the fray. Basically, hollywood-esque pacing.
But still a pretty nice watch for a movie about 2 magical sisters in their magical world that is being attacked by a mysterious power.
Movie rating: 7/10

I like your rating system.
Also, just curious, is Sidonia no Kishi something you will be checking out?
Just finished Koganeiro, a more recent work by the author of Molester Man and Masturbation Master Kurosawa.
It's a cute little 3chapter series about aspirations for the future. I liked it.
As with any short work there wasn't that much time for characters to develop, but I still feel like all the necessary work was put in; it felt like a complete experience.
The art was nice, and very different from the art in his previous works. A lot more clean and the style was also very different. You could hardly guess they're the same artist.
It's a nice little short read if you're looking for something hopeful to read.
I also read 5 chapters of Sentou Hakai Gakuen Dangerous, another one of his works. He only draws this one though.
I dunno about this one. It's fairly interesting but doesn't seem like it'll amount to anything special. It brings up a few interesting concepts like segregation but doesn't really bother doing much with them, so far.
It might get going later on, but so far it seems like it'll be mostly mostly bland shounen-ish stuff. It reminded me a lot of HunterxHunter, another manga I thought was pretty average.
I did like the art infinitely more than HunterxHunter though. It was good. Very unique. There's different styles to the drawings, sometimes even in the same scene.
I don't think I'd recommend this one unless you're really into the genre or liked HunterxHunter a lot.

Yeah, I do suck when it comes to objectively speaking about animes.
Btw, I don't think we have linkes this one yet:
DICE
A webtoon that is pretty good atm.
Also found this one yesterday:
Soredomo boku wa kimi ga suki
I don't know what to think of this, yet. But as a romance filler for the waittimes of other mangas, it's suffcient.
Oh and this one Vermillion seems fairly interesting. No harem/ecchi/romance tag. Just some pure vanilla action/seinen. yey.

Not what I mainly was referring to, but yeah, it seems that way :P

OOoooooooh, it's so pwetty :O
The prologue looked ******* great. I love the use of blur and textures.
I read 10chapters. It seems pretty interesting. The concept is a bit silly in some parts, but it makes for a fairly interesting plot.
I doubt it will be great, but I'll probably keep reading.
To anybody reading DICE: read the Silent Sky scans. They are so much better than Soul Scans. Soul Scans are terrible. Misaligned text and horrible grammar. Avoid those.

I really liked the "intro" of sorts. The one with the library. I'm not sure about the rest though. It feels like it's kind of steering in the direction of silliness. The art is great though. It has me intrigued, so I'll keep reading.

Read one chapter, seems like incredibly generic ****.

It's the only rating system that's Lifebaka AprovedTM.
It wasn't on my radar (mecha usually isn't my thing), but it's on Netflix, so I can check it out with very little effort. I stuck it on my Netflix stuff-to-watch-list and will get around to it relatively soon, I hope.
So, more current season anime!
Rail Wars looks very middle of the road. Lots of time passed in the first episode, but it didn't feel too forced. Gonna' be a show about relatively young people gettin' up to hijinks in a work-place-setting-that's-functionally-identical-to-how-anime-represents-school. Bit of fanservice, decidedly over the top for the art style. Animation's solid, art's nice, overall worth a shot if you're into stupid slice-of-life comedy with fanservice, as far as I can tell.
Official lifebaka Rating: Don't expect much and you'll be fine / 10
Sword Art Online II is a thing I'm watching, just like I said I would. Don't have much to say here. Budget's clearly enormous, so the art and animation are great. But **** all happens in episode 1. All we've got is a bad guy in some new MMO and our regular cast somehow getting roped into dealing with said bad guy. Just setup for plot to start in episode 2 (hopefully). Gonna' hold off on really makin' any real judgments on this one until its done.
Official lifebaka Rating: Riding the hype train, no time for stops in Plotville / 10
Aldnoah.Zero was really interesting. Another mecha offering, except lookin' good so far. Animation's good, storyline sets up some intriguing narrative in a short period of time, characters are immediately likable and already seem interesting. It's doing a lot of things well already, and manages to have more impactful action in zero fight scenes than Argevollen had in three or four. I'm totally down for watching the rest of this already.
Official lifebaka Rating: Watch this one / 10
Akame ga Kill! has potential, but isn't living up to it yet. Badass main character joins up with other badasses to do badass things and kick *** and kill things. Blood and violence without falling into the trap of trying to be dark and edgy; this is great, because terrible and dark things don't have any real impact unless there's brightness for contrast and context. I like the art style, but the animation leaves a little to be desired. Main issue is the pacing, which got a lot done in episode 1 primarily by forcing situations instead of developing them naturally. Still, I was worried this would be a lot worse from what Searz has been saying.
Official lifebaka Rating: Watchable as long as you aren't over-concerned about quality / 10
DRAMAtical Murder was baaaaaaaad. ****py animation, nonsensical character designs, anemic attempts to draw me into giving a **** about what might happen in episode 2, boring (but colorful) setting that is neither explained well enough or mysterious enough to hold my interest. Fight scene towards the end that might've been visually appealing if the animation wasn't ****. Overall, basically incompetent.
Official lifebaka Rating: Don't waste your time / 10
I've still got a long list of things that I'm planning to give at least an episode to, so expect to see more of these as I go.

Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto - no magic, but old japan
Katanagatari - I can't really remember, but I gave it 10/10. It is a 50min per episode anime and farily awesome from what I can remember. More of a fantasy world than shinto.
Pandora Hearts - well some generic stuff, but some good stuff.
Noragami - modern day japan, but with gods
Shaman King - classic one xD!
Yozakura Quartet - modern day shrine/magic stuff.
Nurarihyon no Mago - I think this is perfect for you lol
Hell Girl - I guess that is something with magic stuff? can't even remember lol.
Ookami Kakushi - I think I was pretty hooked by this one and then let down? bleeh so long ago...
