So the temperature isn't running overly high or anything?

doesn't seem so unless the last 20ish percent bring it up to like 100° or something stupid like that

Hey guys, didn't want to start a new thread because of this, but apparently setting League of Legends to run on compatibility mode (Windows 7) improves FPS (I am using Windows 8.1).

I'm assuming that is because compatibility mode disables some graphic settings that are usually only available on most recent hard-/software

Not sure, I didn't notice any graphical differences (but then again, LoL isn't the most graphically heavy game). I was having these really weird lag spikes and after messing around a bit andsetting it to run on compatibility mode they were gone.

Ok so I finally bought a new PC, have to build it with some friends but that'll be k :)

gimme your specs :)

Gonna give it a try:

Processor: Intel i5 4460 (also bought an extra cooler)
Memory: 2x4 GB RAM (upgradable to 4x8)
Videocard: AMD Sapphire PCIe 4GB R9 380 Nitro Dual-X
Harddrive: 1 TB
SSD: 250 GB
Windows 10
And ofc power supply (520 Watt, 80 Plus bronze), dvd drive and a case.
Total cost: ~830 euros.

I still have sounds boxes/headset/keyboard/mouse lying around, I have yet to buy a monitor, looking at a 22 inch one for around 120 euros - I do have a monitor that I will use for now, gonna make it my second monitor once I have a new one.

If you want more specifics, just ask :)

ok, the processor and the graphics card should have their full names on the package(for example Intel Core i5 4690k for the cpu or AMD Sapphire r9 390)
The Power supply also has a wattage(my guess is 500w) and a certification(yours prohably is 80 plus bronze)
The "frame" is called case btw :)
I AM NOT AFFECTED BY ELOHELL. NOOBS AND TROLLS NEVER RUIN MY RANKED GAMES.
I DON'T GET STUCK AND I NEVER GET ONLY 2LP FOR A WIN.

I AM UNRANKED.
