this was not me, but I can feel his pain...
I planted hundreds of trees close to each other, capped of the top, lay ground on it to plant more trees on top of that and so on. After weeks it was one mega giant tree in which i build my home until the accident happened and ruined my day XD
The "funny" thing is that the moment you realise that fire in your home is not a good idea and start to chop down those burning blocks you really think for a moment you can save it- only to realise that it goes so much more out of control then you first thought...

yep, that's exactly what happened. Although that dude was even stupider than me, I at least didn't have any wood around the sides of the fire. The closest piece of wood was 3 blocks above it, unfortunately that's close enough to matter.

anyway, there was a guy who built a lava waterfall in his wood house because lava didn't burn wood (yet). unfortunately i cant find the video of his house burning.
