Making any argument is a waste of time because you're already proven time and again you don't give a **** what other people think. If you can't be bothered to give other people any respect or accept their veiws then I won't give you that courtesy either. Now ima really stop replying to you for realsies this time.

@Canoas That movie was basically made to be beautiful and to look awesome.
I didn't think the story was that bad to be honest.
There are still many better movies than Avatar, and most of those are not as well-made.
It depends on the genre if the effects are important or not.

Well, you see, to today's standards, that game is probably worth a 1/10. To call them idiots is stretching it a little since they are pretty much judging it against their own standards, today's standards. I was already a teen when it first came out, I wouldn't give it a bad review because I would automatically replace into the context of my youth. You can't expect a 15 year old kid to remember a game that came out when his dad was probably still a virgin.
Movies are different, Art manages to be timeless, but in their case, unlike painting or music, they can benefit from a technological advance to make them more appealing (Even though they tend to suck more and more if you ask me). You could use the example of a television set. A set that was awesome 15 years ago would probably look like total garbage nowadays. I wouldn't pay 100 bucks for a 50" plasma I used to sell 9 years ago for 10Gs.
All this blah blah to get to this point. Your statement would sound less idiotic if you were able to put things back in perspective.

Ratings mean nothing, and they never will in any format.

On the Waterfront. 1954. Black and white. 8.4 on imdb.
I think we've proven something here.
Also:
Star Wars Episode IV (1977) - 8.8
Star Wars Episode V (1980) - 8.8
Star Wars Episode VI (1983) - 8.3
Star Wars Episode I (1999) - 6.4
Star Wars Episode II (2002) - 6.8
Star Wars Episode III (2005) - 7.7
Star wars is a perfect example of a series gone wrong and how a great story and characters will always be superior to all the ****ty CGI in the world.
In gaming, the Final Fantasy series is a similar example.

I could never argue against that.

Those movies are only proving my point. Graphics aren't the only thing that matters, but it is still important. That's why Avatar, which has a ****py story, was able to get 8.0.
I don't see how listing the star wars movies and their rating proves your point. It only proves mine.
I also, agree that a good story and gameplay is more important than good graphics, and that's what I've been defending so far. What you have been defending is that graphics don't matter. Please don't try and switch your argument, that's not what you've been saying in the last 7 pages.

Oh, and please explain why Avatar has an 8.0 rating in imdb. If what you said is true and graphics don't matter then it would have received no more than a 5.
