You didn't read the article did you?
If 95% of the games are pirated and 500k games are bought, then 9500k games are being pirated.
@LaronX
When you rent a game 0% of the money goes to the developer, you're giving all the money to the rental store. You should just pirate it.

But I like my rental store and want to support him. I don't really need console but sometimes I want to play a game on them so I can rent them with the game there. That I don't support Ubisoft is clear to me and srsly after I bought ACII I won't buy anything from them anymore. It took me 2 days to get it running and all becaus of the drm. Srsly if I can rent/pirate the game and have a more relaxed time then to buy it then sry theny can die.

But if you don't support the company why the hell would you expect them to improve their games? They won't, it will just go downhill. If they don't get enough money from a game there's no reason to use more money on the next. It's a major risk.

wow. yet you forget that hes still supporting the company anyway because the rental store has to buy several copies of a game in order to let people rent them.

Well, why the hell should I as a customer buy an inferior product?
If they can waste 10millions on a game, but be scared of spending 100k or 200k extra to make a good PC port they quite frankly don't deserve my money.
What ubisoft doesn't realize here is that hackers/rippers/crackers almost always find a way to crack their game and allow piracy.
It's not the pirates that suffer from their DRM, IT'S THEIR CUSTOMERS.
And that's ****ing wrong.
