Hextech is good but not for killing turrets. It's way to expensive to justify it until late game, which should never happen since you'll kill all the turrets before then.

The spell vamp/life steal gives good sustainability, and the active is nice for chasing. I usually get it mid game, so I get some use out of it.

Gunblade actually does more to towers than Black Cleaver. The passive doesn't work on towers and AP makes you deal more damage damage to towers.

I.e: Mike Rogers doesn't think it's rape unless the victim knows (s)he has been raped. Sounds legit.

What? AP has no factor in killing towers. It's all about your auto attack. Black Cleaver is for a nice mix of AD and AS.

Champions deal more damage to towers the more AP they have. It's why champs like Annie can hit towers for over 200 every autoattack.

....really?

My auto attacks absolutely suck **** when I have 600 AP + as Veigar compared to when I have AS maxed out as TF. I mean it might be right, it's just that getting AD items will always help more then AP items, unless there is some formula or something that makes me change my mind. >.>

Look at the numbers popping up. You probably do around 45 damage early game to towers, but that increases to well over 200 late-game with enough AP.

I'll take your word for it since I can't play. In all honestly that would make me want to go Nashor's instead of Hextech though...AS is still more useful then AP imo and Nashor's gives both for a mage who wants to take out turrets. (wut?)

Damage to towers=BASE AD+40% of your AP or 100% of your bonus AD
It seems hybrids aren't as well off as I thought. Gunblade isn't as good as I thought.
The passive on Black Cleaver still doesn't work tho so it's just a little better.
