Didn't I say it was only a sure thing if I was the better player? Kat has to outplay Diana. I still might wanna run it tomorrow just for fun but I wanna sleep now.

Thank you Miss Maw, CasterMaster and Arcana3 for the sweet sigs. I'd definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a nice sig.

The issue I've seen with the Katarina versus Diana matchup is that a lot of them Kat players seem impatient versus Diana. It's like a lot of people who go versus Kassadin or Morgana, they seem to take it as their duty to destroy the lane, and **** up.

Katarina can smartly poke Diana and probably dodge her Q nicely. If Diana W's every Bouncing Blades, she's gonna run out of mana.

Essentially these changes make it so Dianna can actually be punished is she makes a mistake. Pre balance she could harass and trade at will never losing. Now she has to be a bit more careful.

@Republic: I would think Dianna beats Kat outright. Dianna's CDs are much more manageable than Kat's. If I faced a Kat mid as Dianna, I'd put 2 points in Q by level 5 then max shield first. I'd get an early negatron cloak and force close range fights to assure I could land my abilities.

Hypothesis of a fight between Kat/Dianna (Me as Dianna):
You'd focus (I assume) on using BBs to harass and if I close the distance you'd BB then Sinister Steel using shunpo to jump to a creep. . That harass is/would easily be mitigated by Dianna's shield. coupled with a negatron cloak. At 6 you wouldn't want to force any kind of fight without jungle assistance, your highest damage skill is your ultimate, but unless my AoE pull is down you couldn't use it. In short, Dianna's kit is built for trades. Kat's is built for getting in and getting out. Prolonged engagements make it less and less likely for Katarina to keep up. (IMO).

Personal experience is void unless you have evidence and or substantial extrapolations. Meaning instead of you boasting about the experience you've had in 5-10 games, maybe less ,you bring it up after 100-200 games of the same match up. Otherwise you don't have enough of a sampling of skill level/situations to actually make any claim aside from your own opinion.

That isn't to tear you down, it's to try and inform you of WHEN making such claims could potentially be more valid.

She still kicks *** if you know how to play with her and if you reach lvl 6.
She also still has her escape issues, though, so Flash is kind of mandatory on her, even if you go into jungle.

Even.

FFS get a strong ganking jungler, shut her down pre-6.

Pick Ashe dodge her Q's and kite her all day. It's easier than it sounds.

Counter-jungle her wraiths so she doesn't get that ******ed 300 cs in 30 minutes farm.

Stay ahead and make it so she can't engage because she commits to a fight about as hard as Xin Zhao, if she's behind she's staying there.

Pick a tankier composition and she won't be able to kill you.
