He would have been an nice addition not alone for his dmg, if at least his shout would last longer (the ad debuff)
Imo top 1vs1 is still a good one with him, since he's not THAT easily outkited.
And against melees: You go in against him while both are at 100% = you lose.
It's just that even while he hits hard he hasn't anything else and can't contribute much to the team.
Pure "focus one and take him down with a good ol' beating, but totally disregard what's happening around you."
Some rework needs to be done:
- His shout should apply one effect not both, but they should be enhanced, drop the slow and increase the range.
If the enemy faces you he'll lose AD and AP for ~6-7 secs, if not he'll be feared for ~1-2.
- His Ulti should reduce CC effectiveness while active.
- His spin should also cooldown faster on kills/assists.
Ofc those are all great buffs, maybe he needs some tweaks/nerfs therefore, but he definitely needs some love after this "rework" they secretly screwed him over with.

I still think hes great at generating threat and drawing focus. He of course has hard counters, that is obvious. You must play aggressive. If your waiting till 4 or 6 to do anything your playing him wrong. Kill someone at level 2. Push to tower and when you come back just kill them again.
Of course it isn't as easy as just saying it, but if you can do it you will be insanely ahead. Trynd doesn't lose his lead often.

I would just say revert his latest 2 nerfs:
V1.0.0.132:
- Base attack damage lowered to 56 from 59.2.
- Base health regen per 5 seconds reduced to 7.9 from 10.9.
- Mocking Shout attack damage reduction lowered to 20/35/50/65/80 from 20/40/60/80/100.
- Fury decay now begins after 5 seconds from after 8.
V1.0.0.131:
- Bloodlust heal per 1 fury reduced to 0.5/0.95/1.4/1.85/2.3 from 0.65/1.15/1.65/2.15/2.65

yes to revert the the lastest nerf would be quite amazing. Riot has the tendency to break a champ with a nerf and wait a billions years later to be like, oh we nerfed him to the floor, lets buff him! Then they buff him wrong then he gets nerfed to the floor.
All they could do is takke of 50% of the nerf. Boom, staight up good buff that generaly will help him be more present and more of a threat without him being completely bs op.
Thing I find sad about tryn is if he ain't fed, he won't be as useful as another topper that is not fed either. For say, an unfed garen can contribute to the team by being a strong off tank while tryn can't really contribute other then a general debuff during the fight.
Although a late game full item build tryn just destroys anything in sight, but you need to reach lategame though.
