So, I noticed that you can now switch between jungle items. Would that mean that it would be a good idea to temporarily take Trailblazer until you can get enough gold for an enchant on another jungle item? I'm a noob, so that basically means screw ganking until level 6, but it seems worth it to me. Any suggestions?

Generally speaking it doesn't seem like an awful idea, but I think it'll depend on your champion. Someone like Pantheon or Lee Sin has an even easier time getting stuff done with that early Chilling Smite.

It seems generally be the case in higher levels that you take Trailblazer on champions with worse early clears (lacking AoE damage, sustain and whatsoever) and then swap it to Duelist or Stalker once you hit a certain powerspike where you start having a bigger impact via items or ganks and need raw killing potential.

Rengar is a good example. You generally see jungler stirring in activity once they hit level 6 nowadays.

I generally do this on poor gankers pre-6, otherwise Chilling Smite is just too good :)

Chilling Smite but only if your a good jungler. If your new to jungle and want play safe Trailblazer is much better especially if you dont know how to use Chilling Smite effectively. So many players in gold and under do not use Chilling Smite correctly and are just better off with Trailblazer.

On this note, I wonder if it'd be a good idea for late game tank junglers that aren't using devourer to switch to Skirmisher's Sabre for the damage reduction on carries. 20% damage reduction from an ADC for 6 seconds is probably about the same amount of damage mitigation as a Exhaust (which is 40% damage reduction for 2.5 seconds) - not to mention Smite would have 100 extra range, so you'd even be able to Smite a max range Caitlyn that's AAing you.

That's probs why Nautilus has it as recommended build path.

I thought that was common sense with how you can change upgrades so easily now. If anything you can switch out early go TB when your just farming say if your VI farming for lvl 6 then switch to chilling smite at lvl 6 for extra gank power than late switch to Skirmisher's.

Well you can't change anymore once you have bought an Enchantment, afaik. And tbh you don't wait with buying it for too long.
