Agree, the item is not thaaaat good.
Tried several times to implement it in my style, e.g. with Warwick (Dar1en played WW with IS instead of WE in some tournament game). Though it's working, Wit's End seems to be better in almost every situation.
Also on higher elos ppl can start to count your attack to dodge the lightning.
I really like the item, but in my opinion it needs a small buff.

If they just rework the items used to build it they could solve the whole problem and make it replace Malady. Change the recurve bow into two daggers. That would make it much more useful and cost efficient than a malady without even having to change stats. Or if they just made it every 3rd hit instead of 4th then it would easily outclass malady and maybe even wit's end thanks to the splash. Or if they added a one second stun when it does it's 4th hit that would be great. people could actually use it strategically for ganks instead of just using it for damage. I don't know. I just can't find a place for it as is.
It works like a charm on AD carries in arams ;D

I did some math on this item a while back and found it was very good if you got it in the first 2 minutes of the game. After that though I think it starts to fall off.

If you get it first and ignore malady it puts you behind as you don't get that early game punch from malady which is much easier to build (two
If you try to put in in the middle say after malady or wit's end you put off precious time that you could be building a better item, and if you leave it for after madred's you lose a spot that could be a BC or IE or Frozen Mallet or really any item that could be more useful. So where does it go?
The only reason it outdamages a Wit's end is because it can help you farm and in team fights it deals damage to multiple people, but really the splash may hurt your farming (if you can't control it) and wit's end helps way more with early game when you buy it. Against single targets wit's end does 58 more damage plus gives you MR as you attack.
Madred's does more damage at about 1000 hp to single targets and even more the more hp they get so by end game it is about twice as effective against single targets. Against single targets at 1000 hp madred's does 50 more damage.
Is it not even designed for where it looks like it should be used? Am I completely off on how it functions? What do you guys think?
