With the recent Warmogs nerf...

I would like to bring to the attention an item combination that I feel rivals Atmogs in effectiveness.
Lets look at Atmogs first.
Warmog's Armor Atma's Impaler Total cost: 5355
This gives us 1270 HP, 40 hp/5, 45 armor, 18 CsC, and 25.4 AD not including champion health.

The item composition I would like to suggest consists of the following.
Randuin's Omen Banshee's Veil Atma's Impaler Total Cost: 8145 (Effective cost 7545 with HoG for 20 minutes)

This gives us 725 HP, 375 Mana, 25 hp/5, 125 Armor, 50 MR, 18% CsC, 14.5 AD, 5% CDR, 20% chance to slow attacker when attacked, a blocked spell every 45 seconds, and an active 35% aoe slow that affects movespeed AND attack speed for AT LEAST 2 seconds.

For about 2192 more gold, yes, we are missing out on 545 health, 15 hp/5 and about 10 AD, but we gain 375 Mana, 75 Armor, 50 MR, 5% CDR, a blocked spell every 45 seconds, and an active 35% aoe slow that affects movespeed AND attack speed for AT LEAST 2 seconds.

TLDR:
Randuin's Omen Banshee's Veil Atma's Impaler
2192 more gold than Atmogs
LESS: 545 health, 15 hp/5 and about 10 AD
MORE: 375 Mana, 75 Armor, 50 MR, 5% CDR, a blocked spell every 45 seconds, and an active 35% aoe slow that affects movespeed AND attack speed for AT LEAST 2 seconds.

Warmogg's was nerfed because it was OP.

It's still the best HP item in the game.

Atmogg's will still be a viable combination.

That's my opinion.

Atmog's wasn't nerfed that hard.

Warmogs is probably still really sronk.

It's either still strong or still OP, it wasn't nerfed enough to make it a bad choice.

It's probably almost to the realm of "Not a mandatory buy for tanking" right now. I think even just 100 HP hit to Warmogg's may bring it down to a reasonable level and bring other items up in viability as well.

LESS: 50 MR, effect shield, 375 Mana
MORE: 895 HP, 40 HP/5, and ~17 AD

You're talking about using 2 items to ALMOST reach the overall effectiveness of one item, both of which are clearly more situational. Warmog's is the only item of the ones mentioned that retains full effectiveness against every type of damage: physical, magical, and even true.

The items that add up to Atmogs are going to help you more and come quicker mid game. Plus, you'll finish it much faster. I'd much rather get the benefit of Atmogs (even after nerf it's still great) sooner than have to focus on farming 2K more gold during teamfight phase.

You're talking about using 2 items to ALMOST reach the overall effectiveness of one item, both of which are clearly more situational. Warmog's is the only item of the ones mentioned that retains full effectiveness against every type of damage: physical, magical, and even true.


Atmogs itself is situational.
This is a combination that rivals it in terms of situation which has more versatility.

I don't think we should even be thinking in terms of combos to be honest...

Atmogg's was never the "Every game best" combo but people used it every game.
