Most people tend to pair Atma's with Warmog. It does make logical sense although in terms of cost you'd pretty much have to rush both and forgoe anything like Tri Force until late game. Doing the reverse means you might not get the full potential out of your Warmog's come late game. The problem being that Teemo/WW/Kog Maw will have a perfect late game counter for you with Blood Razors. And those are pretty much standard on the AD versions of those champs. Not the end of the world though Yorick has some work still left to do on him. He is though a very fun champ (imo) even though he's a bit UP right now.

will give manamune a try. atogs is actually nice on him but you kind of need to rush it.
s1 tried sheen-> giants belt -> atmas-> finish warmogs -> finish tf?
maybe a manamune at start.

atm:
-going for manamune solves your mana poroblems but leaves you less tanky and does not give that much dmg.
-going for atmas will give you good dmg and tankyness but youll still have manaproblems.
- going triforce first (atm seems most reasonable to me). it will give you mana health and dps and the really much needed movement speed buff( you dont have a distance closer, omen of wars design just so bad atm, i thought it would give the speedbuff imediatly. atm it gives it when you are already in range making it pretty much useless for chasing and escaping). still triforce wont make you as beefy as atmogs and wont give you as much mana as manamune. maybe build glacial shroud in between or frozen hearth afterwards?

want to try these things but cant play that much atm. nvm im waiting until he gets buffed :P

manamune is the main items you need the finish on him, besides the boots. after i always buy a frozen mallet. at that point you have more then 2K on health and can survive teamfights. after the mallet but atma's and then buy warmogs. yeah its is a expensive build but it works great and you always have to farm with Yorick when you can.

There are 2 issues with early game Yorick in terms of sustainability.

1 he is a mana user with barely any mana. But on top of having low mana his mana costs are extremely expensive.
2 the damage from W and the life steal/damage from E both require magic pen to hit harder, it's not typical for a melee DPS champ to need Sorc boots to actually improve their over-all gameplay. With this champ if you want to get the most potential out of Omen of Famine you need the Mpen talent from masteries, Sorc boots ,and a spirit visage (IMO)

there is no need to theorycraft before the next patch , yorick is just awful right now and we need to see how he will be changed
he dont deal good dmg , have no cc no tankiness no buffs nor debuffs :/ he just bring nothing to the team ...
lets just see the buff he will get next patch and work on it

True but we might as well spit ball something. If they keep him in the same vain that he is now just buff his ghouls and base mana/mana per level then some of these ideas are still viable.

So, I need to ask. How can you call him bad?

With a little bit of skill, patience and the right build he plays fine.

(Core build)
Meki > Tear
Boots
Manamune
Boots(CDR)
Sheen
Phage
Zeal/Triforce
Atmas

(Optional)
Banshees
Sunfire
Warmogs
Hextech Gunblade

This allows you to get off a large amount of burst damage and enough melee damage, but I wondered if the spell vamp and life steal might be good on him, im yet to do the calculations on it.

I have CdR runes, Armor and MpPen

It's most likely that your enemies are bad.

Yeah, their is that, but mostly because I'm a little better. Anyhow, test the build and late game (Like anyone would with this build) you put out damage. After the buff this will be the way to go I think.
