I have two views of the new ranked system.
    1) Its great for your main role since if you get autofilled into a role you don't play often it won't affect your main elo. So it should make it easier to climb if you are consistently good in your role.
    2) For the players that are in Gold elo for their main role I can see a lot of people who hypothetically main adc but when they go to play top ranked in Bronze they don't care if they play bad or not because it's not their "real" elo. So it could increase trolling in lower elos which will make it harder to consistently climb from those lower elos if your main role is starting in bronze or iron.

I guess you could say eventually the banning system will weed out a lot of the trolling but in general if I am gold in support and I'm playing bronze in another role, I wont try as hard when playing from behind.

    Hey,
first off, I agree with Chromuro on the point that it seems fairer. Auto-filled positions don't seem to hurt that much anymore (if auto-fill even keeps to exist - not sure on that one). Like personally I'm main support but as support it sometimes can feel that you rely on so many factors such as an ADC that knows what they are doing, a jungler who's ganking at the right moment, the possibilty to deep-ward - just to name a few.
As it seems now it looks like you're actually being judged by the role you're playing and not the kind of "luck" in queueing.
And I mean it's pretty nice since you can be high in elo with your main role but when you feel like you want to play a different role it's still possible in ranked and you don't have to worry that would affect the lp you earned with your other role.
Also, I think it's pretty interesting what Riot will come up with for season rewards - even though it's quite a bit too early to think about it. But what if you reached Gold or higher with all 5 roles? Will they just create 5 chromas?

For Preseason... I was really not a fan of putting runes and masteries together. But it actually worked out quite fine because you had so many possibilities and special effects you could choose from that it seemed different but fair. Dunno, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what these changes will be like.

    such caps

My point of view is from someone that has nearly never touched ranked games, so keep that in mind.
I find this new system... fantastic. I love the idea of the lane rank/queue and actually the idea of starting seriously to do ranked games is pretty strong in me. This way, when people see me, they don't see a *insert rank here* player, but a iron 4 adc player and they dodge immediatly :D
The last phrase seems a bit odd, but I really think that that (thank you english language) is the solution for people that constantly op.ggs other players: there is more clarity.
Always talking about clarity, the little detail about placements is the cherry on top, this way people won't be *too* upset when they see their final rank.

About pre-season/season... for now I didn't see that much work, the only thing worth mentioning is that they will separate rune trees and stats. It's like reverting to the old mastery/runes system, but much simpler (and much cheaper). It's ok I guess, the current iteration seems pretty good and it seems that it will be the one that will ship.

    I shouldn't have forgot anything-
