Matchups — Best Picks & How to Win Lane
You stomp: Ezreal, Ashe, Varus, Seraphine, Senna, Aphelios (squishy, little threat back; trap zone control dominates)
Skill matchups: Smolder, Miss Fortune, Twitch, Samira, Draven (play safe, punish cooldowns)
Tough lanes: Nilah, Tristana, Ziggs, Vayne, Sivir (accept weakside, avoid coinflips)
Lane Abuse Tactics
Use your range: Always auto-poke and weave in Q’s when they last-hit
Zone with traps: Place Yordle Snap Trap behind minion waves or on support’s CC to force flashes or guarantee combos
Fight at power spikes: Big power is Level 2, first BF Sword/recurve, then IE. Play aggressive when strong—reset after plates!

Don’t overcontest lanes against Nilah, Ziggs, or hyper-engage; win by playing safe when behind, and force advantages off your range lead. With the right support and playstyle, Caitlyn can absolutely take over lower Elo, and still feast in high Elo with good lane coordination.
