With the current meta, top laner is very tanky with lots of health, so to counter them would BoTRK on a normal ADC be of any good? I know that you would have to sacrifice the defense item slot for it and that would make you far too vulnerable for hard initiation, but theoretically speaking, would the damage worth the extra risk? Assume the game is in the very late state so the tank is at his best.

You don't have to replace a defensive item slot to get BotRK. Either replace it with BloodThirster or don't take it at all.

I just thought that selling BT would reduce damage too much so I drop the idea. Now since you mention it, I will give it a try, ty.

AD Casters such as ezreal or miss fortune shouldn't pick BOTRK.

It's much more efficient with ADCs that rely on attack speed like vayne or ashe.

you could get a top laner that shreds tanks. 's kit alone makes her good against tanky tops since she has a %hp damage on the E, then people usually build a botrk if necessary.

was used once to counter in the LCS since his ult takes tons of hp/armor/mr off an enemy and gives it to you. I know there was some weird build as well that had a botrk.

maybe with his ? and the fact he gets botrk sometimes as part of his items, i'm merely brainstorming now.
