I would like to ask if anyone has some advice for playing Azir. I want to start using him but he seems like a very complex champion so I wanted to know some of you have any tech or some general or even specific match up strategies so that I am not completely in the dark. Anything would be useful, no matter how small, anything is appreciated.

Azir's basic combo. Your dash will follow the soldier until the end of your Q dash so you can dash a very long distance with that. Use this to gank, or to land your ultimate for example.
There's two combos :
W -> E -> Q forward -> R
Long range engage
and the more advanced
W -> E -> Q *backwards* -> R
Short range but brings back enemies and yourself to your starting position
