League of Legends (LoL) Question: Crit related question

In order to understand this you need to comprehend the nature of critical strike. Mathematically speaking, crit chance is nothing more than a % increase of your AD.

For example you have 25% crit. That means that 1 in 4 attacks will deal 200% damage, so 4 attacks equals the damage of 5 attacks. 4 * 1.25 = 5.

Now we can conclude that 1% crit chance is 1% increase of your total AD. Take an AD carry with 50% crit chance and 200 AD. Buying a Phantom Dancer would add 30% crit chance so puts the total crit at 80%. 30% of 200 is 60 and we already have 50% crit chance so any item with 40 AD or higher would in this case provide higher damage output, ignoring attack speed.

This nature should explain why getting extremely high values of crit chance isn't worth it. Sure I took a fictional situation with fictional numbers and you could use actual values but that's not really important because it will tell you the same story: 100% crit chance builds aren't worth it unless you're Yasuo.

No. Don't do it. As an ADC you need critical chance, AD, ATK SPD, life steal, armor penetration and survivability. ADC has at least Infinity Edge, Bloodthirster/ Blade of the Ruined King Last Whisper and Statikk Shiv/ Phantom Dancer. Now they have these stats so they should get survivability and positioning stats. Berserker's Greaves and Mercury's Treads are the only boots I take as an ADC, and then I take the survivability item ( Guardian Angel, Banshee's Veil, Randuin's Omen etc.).


TL;DR if you go full crit build they only need to get things like Frozen Heart, Randuin's Omen or Thornmail and you are useless.

It's hilarious and you can get fed, but then you start getting **** on when you realize you have like, 180 AD and 6 items and you can't get last whisper or any more AD items and you lose.
