Jax Nerfs?

So I haven't played LoL in months. Thinking about jumping back in, but really only want to play .

I noticed that people not only seem to ban him less in high elo streams, but pick him much less so I am assuming he got nerfed.

I really don't feel like running through months of patch notes to see the nerfs. Someone want to help this lazy guy out and summarize the nerfs for me? Thanks!

Its not that he got nerfed, its that he doesnt really fit into the ranged top laner meta thats come out. Top lane us currently being dominated by , (she got a rework), and , all of whom can outrange him and harh*** him for days in the laning phase, essentially shutting him down, and forcing him to split push for the rest of the game.

They get ******edly tanky and have a really powerfull skillset (maokai passive is super strong tfs and so is his ultimate, alistar is unkillable with his ult on). Should check out the playoffs this week (live now) if you want to see them in action.

Actually top isn't necessarily ranged. A lot of meta tops (alistar, maokai) are still melee. There are also some melee assassins returning to mid.

so....top ranged now....mid typically ranged....bot ranged....so only legit meta melee is jungle or support sometimes?

Woops. I worded that wrong. I meant that he didn't get nerfed, at least not that hard. My mistake.

What? He did get nerfed?

Mostly nerfs on his base stats (4.11), giving him a slightly weaker laning phase.

Also, yes top lane meta shifted towards AP tops and most of them are quite strong picks vs jax.

I didnt play 2 months so i was in almost same situation as you but i got used to, my advice is to try current meta champps(already mentioned top + and will be quite op based on my experience on pbe, then and ) for adc, for supps nothing changed maybe , got buffs at 4.14 so his pick will be increased and few patches before i think exhaust got nerfed damage reduction so assassins like are good too, and for the jungle again and but still didnt have chance to try him after changes in 4.14
