League of Legends (LoL) Question: Jinx Item Build

    Jinx Item Build

Most guides recommend getting Last Whisper, and very few if any even mention Blade of the Ruined King. Why is this? I find that with Jinx's high attack speed (Especially after Statikk Shiv and Berserker's Greaves ) that it tears through enemies faster, even if they stack armor.

    • Bloodthirster I find is generally a better option than BotRK mostly because I like going with the IE -> Shiv -> BT build. It gives a lot of raw, pure AD and it synergizes extremely well with Jinx's long ranged Q for some massive burst. Plus, all of Jinx's abilities scale extremely well off of AD. She also already has a lot of Attack Speed already through her mini-gun + boots + shiv, so I don't think the AS from BotRK is completely necessary.

    • Blade of the Ruined King is better for faster kiting and self-peel because of the active slow. It's also more useful when the enemy has 3-4 tanks on their team and you need to be able to melt them fast because they can jump on you. In general though, I only ever get BotRK if it is in addition to BT and I want to go with the double Lifesteal build and forgo a defensive item.

    • Last Whisper is always a mandatory item. If you get BotRK, it should be in addition to Last Whisper, not in place of. 8% of their current health is only on auto-attacks, and if you leave out LW, then you basically forfeit any damage from your W and your ult. Plus, because it only does percent health, it becomes progressively weaker if you are dueling someone squishy, such as the enemy carries. They only have 1.5-2k health, in contrast to tankier enemies, who will have around 3.5-4k.

Get Infinity Edge fallow it up with Statikk Shiv and possibly boots. After that look at what you need 9/10 times you will need Last Whisper at this point, but if the enemy team has no armor, you should get Bloodthirster, then Last Whisper and a defensive item, such as Banshee's Veil, Guardian Angel or Randuin's Omen.

Don't forget that you might need to get your defensive item earlier on and also you should get Quicksilver Sash when facing Zed, Warwick or any other really nasty CC.

For BotRK, it's just that Jinx already has a strong AS steroid, so building BotRK isn't as necessary. When your ADC already has strong AS buffs, you focus on building other stats to complement the ones you already have. For Jinx, it would be raw AD and Crit chance. You also deal more damage to turrets this way, I think (need to check the maths behind it).

Why do most guides recommends Last Whisper? Because it's a core item on almost every ADC, Jinx included and the reason behind quite a few guides not even mentioning Blade of the Ruined King is probably due to people feeling that Bloodthirster is simply a better choice on Jinx. (I do believe that they should at least mention Botrk as an option).

My question isn't about the rest of the items, but with Last Whisper and Blade of the Ruined King.

Mercurial Scimitar is a defensive item, Guardian Angel isn't really that good

Blade of the Ruined King can be a substitute to Bloodthirster if you need selfpeel

I go for a hard sustain build with Bork, Bloodthirster, then I get my crit usually phantom dnacer then infinity edge and finally a situational item based on the other team. For boots berserkers should work jus about always.
To properly utilize this build mainly stay in your minigun form for the max sustain. I have beaten Warwick to the ground with this kind of sustain. And your tower pushing capability is unreal.

I usually go with the a similar build order. I was just curious why everyone seems to avoid Blade of the Ruined King and gets Last Whisper instead.
