Spirit of the elder lizard on ad carries ?

HEI mobafire comunity! lately i have seen alot of "high elo" ad carries testing, and toying around with the "originally" jungler item calle the spirit of the elder lizard. Even now in the lcs i saw aAa nono pick it up on his ezreal, wich made me wonder even more!
i wonder, why is this item viable? why would you get it over (insert ad item here) and why, just why? haha, i hope you could answer me this, cheers!

Koreans buy it because they end the game really really early, and because the item itself is really strong early on.

AFAIK NA and EU players don't buy it because we turtle games into 50minutes or longer (cough CLG cough) and the item's effectiveness drops a lot.

I don't recommend you build it on your adc's, even draven or ezreal. While the pros will have their reasons for it, you'll do better with bloodthirsters or infinity edges. It's just viable because of its early game damage for a cheap cost, plus it does flat true damage, but it gets outscaled by a lot of items late game in my opinion

It's cheap, gives decent stats, decreases objective clear time, and has a passive that actually does a pretty good amount of damage.

Then again the Challenger tier meta is apparently double fairie charm on AD carries.

The stats on this item are together worth 3000g (excluding passive) while the item only costs 2000g.
    It is extremely cost beneficial.

I have also seen this item on an enemy ezreal.

And just like Aseafy said, I owned him late game with my main AD Twisted Fate in ranked.

    But!

Early game he is sooooooooooo annoying + a thresh, that passive does enourmous damage :-/

besides that, I was 150 minions and he was 250, why? He farmed his own jungle everysingle min, because his jungler udyr, didnt farm at all.

So, it was a hard game, all because of that item -.-

What? He's just saying that the increased damage to neutral monsters allowed ezreal to capitalize on jungle creeps, and so ezreal could clear jungle camps faster.

I'm not saying he's right, I'm just saying thats what he is saying ... he could have farmed jungle camps as well, he'd just do it slower.

If you're referring to the Butcher passive on Elder Lizard, that only affects neutral monsters. Thus, if he is referring to farming jungle creeps, which led to the enemy's advantage over him, then it's not to do with the item, but rather with the fact that he didn't take the initiative to farm his own jungle creeps himself.

If you are referring to the DoT, what has got to do with minions? Are you saying it helped his last hit? Any AD item does that. Besides, it doesn't tie in to the reason why it was a hard game for him.

he's saying the increased damage to minions helped ezreal

This has nothing to do with the item.
