League of Legends (LoL) Question: Spirit Visage on ADC?

    Spirit Visage on ADC?

This may be a silly question, but I've been looking into some rather interesting items on certain champions and it seems like no ones ever had the idea. Would anyone build a Spirit Visage as a defensive item choice on an AD carry? Obviously it would only be really good against AP heavy teams, and doesn't give a lot of health. But I'm thinking, the item synergizes with the massive amount of lifesteal AD carries generally possess, especially with the new combo of Bloodthirster and Blade of the Ruined King.

So yea, what do you guys think of that idea? Just a bit of theory crafting in my spare time. :p

Sidenote: I am going to try it myself on Varus with the BORK/BT combo and see how it goes.

I'd rather have a Banshee's Veil on an ADC. I think people really underestimate that item....

How? He likes everything it gives him, he also can't peel for himself well, and Bortk gives him that ability. Added lifesteal is always benificial to Draven due to Spinning Axe which also procs his passive, so don't use the crit proc part of that to justify only ever using Statikk Shiv or Phantom Dancer as your AS item. :p

BT is def good on Draven. I don't really think botrk is that great though.

I disagree. Ever since I picked up Draven I have less and less of a need for crit items. I always rush thirster, IE seems so lackluster now. And on Varus, Draven and Quinn going BortK feels much better to my playstyle than Statikk shiv or Phantom Dancer. But then i guess that was their intention, they wanted adcs to have more options for preference.

ehhh imo every adc needs crit except Sivir, I learnt this the hard way lel (used to build most of my adc's with like 2-3 bt :P)

I hate Caitlyn. the three carries I play generally run better with lifesteal and higher AD than crit. I barely ever get the chance to build crit. You should see my weird *** mastery pages XD

Well on Varus yes perhaps, but on most other carries you don't want a combination of both of those items. Eg Cait.

to me it's more like "building 1 item to synergize with the two I already have"
you look at the glass half empty. :p

I agree, Banshee's is great. I'm going to say BV or Scimitar are going to be 100% better then SV. Might be viable with botrk and bt, but really let's build 2 items in order to get use out of 1 item? nty.

Well, it grants health, it grants MR, it grants more sustain.

Quite defensive item if you ask me :p
Sure, not as much HP as Warmog's Armor, but people should not underestemate the power of 200hp :P

    Though I'd say:
    * Get this item if you could use the CDR (I guess Varus can use that :P)
    * Get this item if you need MR (since this actually more a MR item than a health item)

If the enemy AP carry does ouchie ouchie, then gettie gettie this item :D

It will probably work fine for 1v1/2v2 duels until Riot nerfs BotRK's active heal to be post-mitigation instead of pre-mitigation.

Another thing is Spirit Visage doesn't give you the tankiness of Warmog's Armor, and relies on you to keep attacking in order to sustain your health. Therefore, crowd control is extremely effective against Spirit Visage.

Ahhh, I see, I didn't know it was currently pre-mitigated healing.

Post-mitigation means that you heal for the amount after it is reduced by resists i.e. armour. Pre-mitigation is essentially healing for the amount you would damage them assuming they had no resists.

What does the post-mitigation and pre-mitigation mean?

So IMO Spirit Visage is more sustain defensive item, due to the extra Healing it does.
So yes, it would be great on champs such as Ashe or Tristana who rely on their autoattacks and sustained damage, Spirit Visage would make then unkillable without real targeting due to the healing

I have actually done a few games with Spirit Visage on Varus with Bloodthirster and Blade of the Ruined King. It's a little bit unbalanced in the sense that you just never die not to mention Varus just gets more use out of blade since he already has a ability that shreads health as well.

Spirit Visage only increases self-healing, regeneration and lifesteal. Astral Blessing and other outside healing effects are not increased by the passive.

It's good for cdr for Varus since spamming his arrow is just essential if you're against tank champions and you need to poke. Also the passive stacked on top of the MR is just great since most abilities deal magic damage so it helps to reduce the damage taken from them.Personally I would think that building it should core for Varus since it offers the 20% increased healing received from all sources. So getting a heal from say Soraka at max level would turn into a 396 heal rather than just 335.

Well, I know that part works, but like, Im wondering if there's any real reason to do it over any other defensive item?
