"Collector > Youmuu in my opinion.
Collector is never a bad choice, even if sometimes Youmuu can be better, it can also really hold you back.
If you really want to go for it, here are 3 necessary conditions to play Youmuu:
1. The enemy team has little to no frontline or tanks.

"Yes, it’s a build that was quite popular a few weeks ago, and it’s still very common in high elo.
It’s clearly a snowball-oriented build; I don’t recommend it, as it’s less enjoyable to play than Collector first item and less consistent.
This build performs poorly below Diamond 2."

"Haha yeah, one time I didn’t realize I was autofilled mid and I picked Jhin. I was against a Yone and I completely destroyed him, it was super surprising. I was doing really fast roams with my ult and throwing Ws everywhere from mid lane.
